How's everyone feeling about it this year?
I'm actually quite looking forward to it. I am working a night on Christmas day which is a shame, but I get to spend all day at home so it could be worse.
I feel sorry for my brother in law who is in Tier 4 and has to spend Christmas day by himself. So cruel.
What are your plans for the day?

Working Christmas Eve 9pm-4pm, and working again on Christmas Day 4pm until 9am on Boxing Day, then spending Boxing Day at my wifeβs nieces house for dinner and to bring the kids some gifts.
I spare a thought for your brother and anyone having to isolate or is alone. Not being able to visit my family in Ireland has been extremely stressful for me this year.
This year has been a nightmare!

I was planning and hoping to spend Christmas with my boyfriend but he wants to go to his parents house and I'm not allowed as they don't know he's gay. To say I'm a bit miffed would be an understatement. He said he was going to bring the presents I got him and say it was from a friend. I might sneak a gay porn hamper in there - that'll teach him.
So it looks like I'm at my dads again, which I do every Christmas. It would've been nice to have spent it with my boyfriend, especially as it's the first Christmas without my mom, but he's a heartless bastard, so what can you do?

Speaking (on the phone) to two different friends today, they are still going ahead with their original plans, regardless of the fact we are all now in Tier 4 (London). Both will be visiting extended families with a mixture from young children to elderly adults. I was shocked as they obeyed the restrictions in the past, but not this time. They both, in so many words, said "sod it"
I am on my own at the moment so it really doesn't make a difference to me, but I wonder if I would be the same if I was in their situations.

I'm quite excited about it this year. My son is literally beside himself and it's all he's talking about. It's so lovely to share the magic of Christmas when you have a little one.

Will be spending it with my parents and their cat. My brother and his family were going to come over too but they all started exhibiting cold-like symptoms so... yeah, will be a while before I see them again. =/ My sister lives out of state and doesn't feel comfortable flying back home so she won't be here either. Sucks, but that's how it is for this year.
