I know YANA is not hugely popular in fan circles despite it being an international number one (and imo, one of his all time best singles).
It got me wondering is it a general ambivalence towards balladry in general (fans often complain about there being too many ballads on Invincible, as if that's a bad thing), or is that YANA just isn't rated highly?

1. Why 2. On The Line 3. YANA
I like them all, but that's how I'd rank them.

^^ I couldn't see either Why or On The Line being as big as YANA was.

I've been unfair to YANA in the past. Listened to it yesterday as part of the full HIStory listen amd really loved it. It still pales in comparison to the other HIStory singles, but it is a great ballad with a stunning vocal. I've always preferred Why, but somehow can't see it on HIStory. On The Line is meh.

On The Line is a lot better than you give it credit for. Listen to it again, it's a cracking little ballad.

Iโll leave YANA on HIStory. Itโs a stunning performance and was very good to MJ. Why is also great. In closing, I love them all.
