all three of these Music Makers worked with MJ over the past 25 plus years of his career and rank them in order who you think got the best out of MJ and the least to you all Teddy Riley help Bring MJ Up to date with New Jack Swing and "remember the time was the Money cut. R.kelly and Michael Jackson made History with "you are not alone" Darkchild and MJ hit with "you rock my world" of those 3 who do you wish had have done a full Project with MJ and why? who was only cool for a song or two and that was more than enough in hinsight? I like Teddy Riley and Rodney Jerkins, they both did some great work with MJ. Ignoring his extremely creepy personal life, R. Kelly's material for Michael Jackson is overrated, really only made worthwhile by Michael's contributions (and even then, they were amongst the worst songs of the albums). I am still puzzled by the fact that among all the fantastic tracks on HIStory it is the extremely avarege YANA that made it to #1. While TDCAU only made it in the 40s, SIM also didn't set the charts afire. People have no taste, duh.

YANA was easily the most mainstream song on the album. Simple gorgeous melody, memorable chorus, quite McCartney to the rest of HIStory's Lennon material

Yes, Teddy Riley/Michael is the best collaboration.
Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis/MJ collaboration is a close second.
I like Darkchild/MJ collab, but not as much as the aforementioned ones.
And, I don't really like R. Kelly/MJ collaboration : "YANA" and "One more chance" are not bad songs, but they just don't sound like Michael's songs. They sound more like Michael covering R.Kelly ballads.

It makes me physically sick that this was the last solo song released when he was alive. No way to end a legacy. No way at all.

Without a doubt Riley/MJ. Their styles meshed best and they complemented each other very nicely. The tracks they worked on for Dangerous definitely sound like Riley-style New Jack Swing at their core, but infused with typical Michael Jackson elements that elevate them far beyond Riley's other work. These songs still sound fresh and timeless, unlike most of Teddy's other work from that era.
With R. Kelly and Jerkins, it just sounds like Michael doing one of their typical tracks.

This is why I don't like a lot of the Invincible tracks although they may be good songs, they sound like songs MJ was brought into sing. Hence, why Speechless & YAML stick out as authentic.
Hey, look at that, I've made this an Invincible thread.

One More Chance is Michael Jacksons worst (and only poor) ever release as a single. Yeah, the opening synths are grating to the ears. I wonder if Michael really cared about OMC, or Number Ones for that matter. Why waste a great unreleased song on a compilation he doesn't overly care for, and I know he was just trying to get out of the Sony contract ASAP, so he might've been saving his best songs for after then?

I quite like One More Chance myself, I remember the first time I heard it. It kind of carries a dark burden with it though, considering the timing.

But Jesus look at the awful tracklisting below. Not only are most of his 5 best songs missed off, but it gives full creedance to anyone who says MJ is an '80s artist and lost it after.
This makes me angry, really angry (well, not in the context of global terrorism & climate change angry, but still angry). ONE SONG FROM DANGEROUS, AN ALBUM WITH SALES OF 35 MILLION AND 9 HIT SINGLES. TWO FROM HISTORY. AND THEN A PISS POOR ALBUM TRACK AND A SONG NOT EVEN GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE INVINCIBLE.
The choices of Break Of Dawn are so annoying when you consider the Xscape tracks that culd have been used or We've Had Enough.
"Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" "Rock with You" "Billie Jean" "Beat It" "Thriller" "Human Nature" "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" "Bad" "Smooth Criminal" "The Way You Make Me Feel" "Man in the Mirror" "Dirty Diana" "Black or White" "You Are Not Alone" "Earth Song" "Blood on the Dance Floor" "You Rock My World" "Break of Dawn" "One More Chance"

Remember that Special/DVD "The One"?... It actually went as far as Black or White and then that was it, as if the album had 15 songs worth discussing. And we bought it.

It was the first release I bought that I left the shop sticker on, so I'm nearly as cool as you.
