he has been around nearly 3 decades as a hitmaker for himself and others.

I think he is quite talented,but his songs for MJ were only okay imo.

The last R Kelly I got was Chocolate Factory, which was a great album from start to finish. After that, he kinda lost his midas touch imo.
In terms of his songwriting for other people, Age Ain't Nothin But A Number by Aaliyah is vintage 90s R&B - I love the bones of that album.
I enjoyed One More Chance and YANA for MJ, but wasn't so keen on Cry.

Definitely better than YANA. R Kelly weren't stupid, he kept his best songs for himself.
