I kind of was on board with the musical in the beginning but the fact that that the writer still chose to be associated with project dedicated to an artist whom she deems as guilty of the most heinous crime is beyond baffling to me. I assumed fans were going to be the main supporters of this musical but they were unanimously pissed the creators have a lynch mob mentality.

Itโs weird she would still want to be associated with mj if she thought he was guilty.

As long as I live, I will truly never understand people that think he's guilty but still want anything to do with him. How on Earth could you listen to an artist at a party (for example) and be thinking "he abused children, but what a great song though!" Then you have the person involved with this musical. She makes the "stunning and brave" revelation that she thinks Michael is guilty but then it's still OK for her to make money off of him? Michael Jackson is guilty of committing the most heinous acts a person can commit, but it's OK be because of the paycheck. Anything for money indeed.

Everyone will have a different opinion on this bit though, and it will come down to those who can separate the artist from art. I think Rock & Roll pt. 2 by Gary Glitter is still a banger and I still think Glitter is sub human scum.

Yeah I totally get why people can't listen to something by a grotesque creature. It's when the judgy-ness does creep in, is when I have an issue, because where would one ever draw the line.

I'd rather her not address it given her views. I think moving the timeline is a positive thing.

And so it begins with the woke, virtue signaling Broadway people. Sigh.
I really don't have a good feeling about this. Fans are angry because of Nottage's comments, so they wont support it like they did Cirque. And the woke (most of Broadway) are going to use it to virtue signal.

I think people will still go. You'll always have people who think he is guilty.

Fans online are a small proportion of Michael's fans. He's got more offline than online. People will still go see this on Broadway in the same way they'll see MJ One in Vegas. No problem.
