Here you go: LMA was beaten by Belfast Child by Simple Minds. HTW was beaten by Whitney Houston with I Will Always Love You. GITM was beaten by 2 Unlimited's No Limit.Say, Say, Say was beaten by Billy Joel's Uptown Girl. MITM (2009) was beaten by Cascada's "Evacuate the Dancefloor". I just listened to this....I have some questions for the record buying public in the UK at the time.... Yeah, No Limits pretty much summed up everything that was wrong in the UK charts in 1992. It was full on Euro dance numbers, all 'here today, gone tomorrow' artists. 2 Unlimited / Snap / Outhere Brothers / Haddaway etc...etc.. In all fairness, although they were all trashy dance shite with terrible lyrics, they were fun disposable numbers.

You guys got a lot of that over there lol we did too but it usually regulated to certain platforms and radio stations. A lot of dance music was huge here but at the same time, if you weren't listening to radio stations that only played dance numbers or certain times on MTV, you didnt know I do wish I lived over there when UK Garage was the craze. I LOVED that period

At the time, I thought 2 Unlimited were fun and fancied the lady. Wasn't quite a teenager back then. Far more questionable than 2 Unlimited beating GITM is how MITM peaked at 21 in the singles chart back in the day. Bonkers!
