I'm not a huge fan, but watching the new videos made me feel quite emotional. It's very clever, showing them as they are now and having CGI de-aging them.
And Don't Shut Me Down sounds like classic ABBA, which is quite an achievement after all the years that have passed.

I saw a great tweet from someone fearing that at some point in the future Pierce Brosnan will massacre Don't Shut Me Down.

I like Don't Shut Me Down. The other song is just too slow for me.
And their Tron-inspired CGI avatar younger selves look really cool. Love the aesthetic.

They're mostly known for Dancing Queen, but they're big faves in the gay clubs. They're not quite the phenomenon over here that they are in the rest of the world, but they are definitely known.

I'm genuinely shocked by how beautiful and moving I've found both of these new songs, and I've never really considered myself a huge Abba fan. I will definitely buy their album on the strength of these two songs, which are two of the best pop songs I've heard in years

Does anyone else think that Don't Shut Me Down might be sung from the perspective of a transwoman? The lyrics seem like they're leaning into that.

I don't really agree with the whole virtual concert thing. Just seems like a way to charge for a concert without actually doing it. I'm really digging Don't Shut Me Down though and it's cool they've made a full album of new tracks.

I dig Don't Shut Me Down too. Anni-Frid and Agnetha sound incredible for their age, I really appreciate their voices weren't auto-tuned.

Love the new songs too. And I'm glad there is not a rap verse featuring Cardi B.

Another classy and well-crafted pop song from ABBA. I'm not a fan of their disco sound but Benny and Bjorn truly know how to make good pop songs, I didn't know how much I needed ABBA until now. Their comeback is a breath of fresh air.
Edit to add, I wasn't aware it's a remake of a 1978 song of them. I'm just familiar with some of their 70s hits.
Judging the comparison, the 1970s version sounds more disco and the 2021 more pop.

I preferred their upbeat songs more than the ballads, it doesn't mean the songs are bad though, they're just too slow for me. I'd say my favorite ballads are Bumblebee and I Can Be That Woman.

Or does it actually mean the songs are in fact bad as apposed to “just too slow for me” Is it that they’re just too slow for you because it’s ABBA? If it was anyone else would they not be considered bad? I’m asking rhetorically by the way. I’ve not listened to the album but have read similar comments from people online saying it’s not their favourite album but it’s not bad.
