Or does it actually mean the songs are in fact bad as apposed to “just too slow for me” Is it that they’re just too slow for you because it’s ABBA? If it was anyone else would they not be considered bad? I’m asking rhetorically by the way. I’ve not listened to the album but have read similar comments from people online saying it’s not their favourite album but it’s not bad. [/quote] The songs don't have bad or mediocre lyrics but I didn't like the slowness of their performance and the music.

Will definitely give the album a listen but am fully expecting Don't Shut Me Down to be the best song on it. I really loved that one and it's rare for any song to get under my skin immediately the way that one did. Will listen with an open mind, but I do wonder if the strength of DSMD gave people unrealistic expectations.

It was just on the radio and I do really really like it. Will get around to listening at work some day this week.

I know you're a fan. I have, and I'm a fan of the new album. Easily my favourite of hers since the 80's. It's very Diana though, but I'm glad to see it's being received pretty OK.

The other two favorites were Just A Notion and Keep An Eye On Dan, ABBA managed to make the story of a divorce couple a banger with the latter song I mentioned.

I actually really enjoyed this album. Although I had zero expectations and wasn’t expecting much from it I thought as an album it works quite well.

I actually like every song on the album, but Ode To Freedom gives me goosebumps - such a beautiful track, as is I Can Be That Woman, the lyrics are very personal, both Benny & Bjorn struggled with alcohol problems. The only negative I have to say is that When You Danced With Me is very similar to me like Ed Shereen’s Galway Girl, throwing every Irish cliche at it.
So happy they made a last album though.

I was hesitant to buy voyage, because like most groups, when they get back together after sometime, they are not that good. though I am not thrilled by the new album, (it's hardly the abba of old), I still like it. it is better than I expected.

I agree, really like the album. The only song I can't stick is the Christmas one, which makes The Lost Children sound hardcore!
