I love how it felt like he was from another time. It is part of why his music and dance is, for the most part, really timeless.

I love how he didn't care for current trends and existed in his own realm of what he believed in, what he was passionate about and what he thought was cool.

He was a trendsetter, but he also followed some trends in his music. Working with synths for bad, having current celebrities in his videos, experimenting with new jack swing (and making it his own) and working with current producers of those times like teddy Riley and Rodney jerkins.

Butterflies, this was a smart move from his part. I remember that he caught my temporary attention with Give in to me back in the days when I was too snob-ish for ,,dance music,, bringing Slash. I ended up liking the song completely,more bc of Michael's vocals than Slash's presence. And RTT short it was funny with all his guests and that lyric ,, on the phone,, on an ancient Egypt athmosphere. And You rock my world with Marlon Brando, one of my all time favorite actors.
