If I had caught Covid at the cinema because of this, it would have been totally worth it (well...) I feel sorry for my friend though. He's really nervous about the whole thing at the minute and knew it would be post-Christmas when he git to see it. I told him that he would be better off watching a cam-version than having Twitter spooil every little thing (he works in digital marketing so there's no way he'd avoid the plot leaks, let alone the big reveals) so he watched a pretty decent cam but had Indian ads throughout. He said it wasn't the way he wanted to see it but he was glad he went that way. Cut to yesterday and he was told that his work were having a Christmas lunch do which he couldn't get out of, and I got a message saying "I watched a shitty illegal cam of Spider-Man only to get Covid for a fucking bun and cup of tea".

Read an article where the writers of NWH talked about how a lot of good stuff was cut from the film in order to make sure it felt good to watch. I wonder how much of that was actually filmed, or if it was just cut during the writing phase. Would be cool to get an extended cut if enough film exists to make it.

Spiderman - No Way Home is the best Marvel movie in a very long time. The reviews are insane as well. Opening weekend between 130 and 175M$. Biggest Tom Holland opening so far, and those are great numbers in these times.

I finally saw it on Boxing Day. What an absolute treat it was! I cried twice which is odd given that I wasn’t that obsessed with any of the previous Spider-Man films. It may have been more to do with having a day off work and exhaustion catching up with me. But yes this was great fun.

Spider-Man 2 is still my all time favorite Spider-Man movie, but this new one gives it a run for it money. It made me cry a lot. I got so emotional during this movie that I was kinda embarrassed. The last five minutes specifically were absolutely gut-wrenching.

I can't remember the last film I saw with such a sad yet optimistic ending. Spider-Man was always best when he was broke and struggling to pay rent!

This film is hopefully gonna be wild. It'll obviously be a Marvel movie through and through but I know Sam will bring his own style to it.

I hear a very familiar voice in that trailer... one that sounds an awful lot like a certain Star Trek captain. Spring will be a surprisingly busy time for me in terms of films. First Sonic 2, and then this. Can't wait!

If they give away THAT in the trailer, lord knows what we will get in May. It's going to be mental. I for one welcome our Scarlet overlord. Wanda is 100% attacking Kamar Taj here. This is going to be an absolute bloodbath.
If she came through the screen and killed people in my cinema, I would still cheer for her.
