Anyone watched the Sex And The City revival series?
I can’t believe what they did. It’s made me so sad and feeling nostalgic for the original series / movies. Those was such good times, now I just feel heart broken.

I have been watching it but it's so politically correct, I'm not really enjoying it.
It was a stroke of luck what they did with the character considering the recent headlines
I don't think Samantha is missed but I also don't think the new characters who have been shoehorned in fit.

My wife is a massive fan of the original series and films. I was even dragged along to the cinema to watch the films. She’s so disappointed with And Just Like That for all the reasons you both mentioned. She feels that the woke political correctness has ruined it.

Seriously, I enjoyed the first film to a certain extent, the second one a little less so, and the few episodes I saw almost turned me off women for life!! I’m no prude but I just found it a little bit vulgar and found none of them attractive in any sense. 😐

I saw bits and pieces of Sex and The City back in the day but I've read this revival is garbage. If so, Kim Cattrall dodged a bullet on this one and I don't blame her if she had enough of Sarah Jessica Parker, the world knows SJP is an insufferable and looks like a vapid, constipated chick. Hocus Pocus was the only movie I didn't hate her.

Kim Cattrall made it all very personal by airing her grievances with SJP in public and I actually found that to be very lacking in class on Kim's part. SJP may be nauseatingly woke, but she seems harmless enough imo.

The original format has aged terribly, especially when it comes to issues like LGBTQ representation or race relations, but at least it had a point of view. Now they clearly try to include everyone while saying absolutely nothing at the same time.

The main problem with this revival is how they're trying to reconcile archetypal problematic characters (all of them except for Miranda swim in entitlement and unearned privilege) to a certain reality that doesn't hold water. The fact they pepper the cast with examples of diversity (POC, non binary people, trans people, differently abled people,...) while someone like Carrie is still strolling between her two lavish Manhattan apartments with a sad face and a different dress in every scene is just mind boggling.
