take a seat from being an MJ fan and just listen to Quincy Jones's albums and what are your thoughts and takes?
do you like his formula of guests and versatility?
do you feel his work is too polished?
any of his albums that you dig and why?
for me "the dude" was his blueprint and best one.
do you like his arrangements and vocalists he has used?

Agreed, I think The Dude is a very good album. The Patti Austin/Temperton tracks and the two James Ingram ballads are all good. Sounds.. And Stuff Like That is decent too. The production on these two albums is excellent. Other than that, I don't really like any of the guest vocalist/songwriter records. Back on the Block in particular is so overrated to me. The songwriting is average at best and the production is well done, but way too slick for my liking.
