Other than two average filler tracks (Damnn Baby and 2 B Loved), the album is beginning to end, her most accomplished, mature album since The Velvet Rope. Any fans that fell off the wagon in the 00s (ahem, TonyR, ahem), really need to give this album the time it deserves. The Great Forever, Burnitup, Lessons Learned, Black Eagle, Shoulda Known Better, After You Fall, Unbreakable, Night... so many great tracks.

Need to relisten but its definitely the best since TVR. That's not saying much though, coming from me. I don't think highly of her post TVR work. Love some songs on All For You but that's where she had lost me. Unbreakable is a bit long mind.

But I do think some fans are overly-dismissive of her 00s output in general. I concede that Unbreakable was the first great album she'd made since Velvet Rope, but whilst the 00s albums were patchy, there was always 5-6 great tracks per album. I consider these songs from Damita Jo, 20YO and Discipline as good as anything from her first four iconic albums: Just A Little While I Want You All Nite (Don't Stop) Truly Enjoy Take Care So Excited Daybreak Feedback Greatest X So Much Betta Can't B Good But yeah, Unbreakable was a cut above. It felt like Janet had truly found her muse again.

I tried getting into Janet but over here she is still known as "Michael's sister." It doesn't help that she never had any vocal talent. She whispered her way through songs and danced somewhat well. But she was a completely manufactured product, not an actual talent like MJ.

Also forgot to mention Broken Hearts Heal, which is a lovely tribute to MJ.

Love the album, played it a lot in its first few years. I truly believe after you fall is about Michael
