The scum who stole Brads laptop has been named on Twitter, his real name, his soundcloud name and his photo is now circulating.

This is such bullshit. Brad is a cool guy. Absolute scum. It's difficult to get too bent out of shape over something like this though, as I'm guessing 99% of the fans here have heard Chicago 1945 and the other song (name escapes me) and will listen to anything else that leaks as a result of this theft... Of course, stealing someone's private property is a scummy thing to do, I'm not defending this person. Just pointing out that there's a little bit of hypocrisy at fans acting outraged about this and then listening to stolen material. I was talking about someone going to such sneaky and pathetic lengths to steal Brad Sundberg's laptop. Edit: Apparently full quality Chicago has leaked. All leaks are tainted but this should leave a very bad taste.

Apparently, its the same person who recorded the songs from Steve Porcaro at a previous seminar. This is insane, why do people feel they have a right to steal songs like this?? Why do people feel soooo entitled that they just HAVE to listen to stolen songs??? What is wrong with you people???

Just opened YouTube and was greeted by Chicago 1945 NEW STUDIO LEAK. Dickhead didn't waste any time did he.
Leaks happen, always have and always will - but the way this guy did it was beyond the pale. And so brazen too. I hope he's dealt with nice and proper.

Hopefully Brad can get his stuff back and it's undamaged, and the guy gets punished too.

Go to the YouTube video and report it, cause it’s stolen. I heard the first half of it and turned it off, I don’t think mj ever intended for it to be released cause it doesn’t sound completed to me

It’s sad for a number of reasons. Obviously for Brad it effects his business and he’ll be less trusting of people in the future if he continues. Guests will also be reluctant to share anything at his seminars for fear of the inevitable.
Chicago 1945; It was a holy grail track for a long time and it deserved so much better. It’s vintage MJ. Its playful, it’s got fun lyrics/story, MJ’s vocals are wonderful and it’s incredibly catchy. It’s an instant classic in my opinion. Perhaps not a number one hit, but a classic nonetheless.
Had it been included as part of an official release it would have boosted sales within the fan community as it was sought after by many and its got fan favourite written all over it. So the culprit has robbed MJ, estate, Sony and fans of that moment. The same could be said for any leaked track I guess but I just feel this had so much potential.
Obviously it could still be released but any hype and anticipation that would have come with it is gone and if it were included in the future the effect would be somewhat watered down, and of course you’ed have fans complaining that “we already have it!”
Awful for Brad and his business though.
When Madonna’s Rebel Heart album was stolen and everything leaked it pretty much ruined what the album should have been. Fans still going to crazy lengths to get a piece of MJ.

Feel incredibly bad for Brad. Mental thing for someone to do.

Maybe it was very naive of me, but I always thought (or convinced myself) that leaks were obtained in some form of way where the leaker managed to outsmart the owner by hacking or somehow managing to bypass a server - basically a case of "well, you should have been more careful with the files then" kind of way. Stealing a laptop is just so scumbaggish because you nevert know what's on a lapotop. Family photos, documents, personal things you may never get back. But at the end of the day it's all theft really.
There are like 5 or 6 leaks already from this. Imagine doing something like this just to leak a few Michael Jackson songs? To look cool in the MJ community?
Demented. Genuinely demented.

To look cool in the MJ community? Demented. Genuinely demented. Traditionally I think most tracks (not specifically MJ's) leak because people who work with the artist (engineers etc), or other people working at the studio, would share it with someone they know, who would then share it with someone they know or sell it, who would... etc. for it to eventually end up in the hands of traders/private collectors and ultimately fans at large. Bad, but not as brazen and disturbing as running off with someone's personal laptop. Absolutely insane. And indeed, stealing private property, which could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, just to get some attention in the fan community? I wonder if the guy will feel it was all worth it when he's sued over this... Brad's response was surprisingly calm, and he'll still put on the event today and tomorrow for the people there + seems eager to continue with his other scheduled events. But you have to wonder whether the Estate will allow that to happen. From what I understood they have always 'tolerated' the seminars, but with so much material now leaking from it...

Looks like a user on MJJC named "Lord Jackson" is alluding that he may have been the guy.
I nominate @ruthg to create an MJJC account to send some imaginative insults his way.
