For me it would be Earth Song which was the Christmas #1 in the UK. From this list I’ll go with Janet’s That’s The Way Love Goes. It’s superb, although I really like all of these Janet tracks.

Probably Blood On The Dancefloor. Also a number 1 hit in the UK in 1997...

Both tracks were quite successful in several European countries reaching no.1 besides The UK. That's why they were included in MJ's Number Ones album, I bet.

Yes, Earth Song was a major hit in 20 European countries. BOTDF obviously wasn't as big, but still a hit. BOTDF should have been longer than it is. Too short! A shame MJ had fewer number ones in the 1990s compared to the 1980s.

^^Even if it only reached no. 1 one in Denmark, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, UK and in Latin America the song reached 1 in Mexico, Brazil if I'm not mistaken, BOTDF was still a top 10 hit in most European countries. Earth Song had more no. 1 spots indeed but BOTDF was still a hit. USA may be the biggest market but not everything is Billboard no. ones.

Shocking that MJ only had 2 US number ones in the 90s.
From that list, I would pick YANA - which is easily his best ballad as an adult solo star. (Love Will Never Do) Without You is a great tune from Janet though!

To this day, I still think not releasing ES in the US was a huge mistake.
"Hmmm, I know, lets release This Time Around to radios instead of commercially releasing one of the best songs he ever made accompanied alongside one of the most powerful music videos of all time." I mean, how moronic is this?
