A true legend and rare talent. Beyoncé owes her entire stage act to Tina Turner (and MJ).
An incredible voice and a real showman.

Oh wow, this one really shocked me! She wasn't young, but she was one of those true legends you just never thought of dying. I didn't know she was ill. So sad. May she rest in peace. Her legacy will live on.

My mom was a huge Tina Turner fan. I never quite got into her, but her talent and stage presence were undeniable.
RIP.

I grew up LOVING Tina. I only really got into music in the 80s so I missed out on her Ike and Tina era, but I remember her 80s output as a kid (my mom bought her cassettes) and loved her. And then I saw What’s Love Got To Do With It? and still love that film to this day. I was always fascinated by Tina and her story, her music, her talent. She was so interesting to me. I remember her Larry King interview in 1997 and seeing it and just adoring her. It solidified what I already knew about her, she was a beautiful and strong and intelligent woman, a lovely person.
I am truly saddened by her death, but saw this coming.
I loved her Larry King interview. She was very honest. I loved when she said she’s as famous as Madonna in Europe, but not in the states. It says so much about Americans without saying it.

I loved when she said she’s as famous as Madonna in Europe, but not in the states. It says so much about Americans without saying it. She was an absolute superstar in Europe! One of the greats. The surprising thing to me from Europe is actually the fact America didn't appreciate her that much. She was HUGE here!

I had no idea Tina is so huge in Europe, it's baffling her country didn't appreciate her that much. I mean, how many legacy acts live up to their successes in the 60s, 70s, etc in the US still having a hig following but not with the Queen of Rock.
Now knowing this, I don't find her duet with Eros Ramazzotti, Cose della vita that puzzling anymore but I prefer her duets with David Bowie and Mick Jagger.
I knew she was battling with cancer in 2018 but I didn't know she was riddled with more illnesses. Her passing is saddening but she won't suffer anymore and her husband was with her till the end. RIP Queen Tina.
Her chemistry with Mick was undeniable and electrifying but I thought when they sang State Of Shock the music sounded horrible. I prefer other songs they performed.
