It's not the SC yet. It's a petition to the Appeal Court to rehear the case. They will almost certainly decline it and THEN the MJ companies can try to turn to the SC.

We already know the Mez is working as an advisor with the Estate's legal team. I have the feeling this is is what this person has blown up into this. We don't even know yet if there will be a trial, although it's likely at this point. We also don't know when that trial will be. First there's the Supreme Court attempt and even if that's rejected it doesn't mean the trial is immediate. There would probably be more discovery before that.

It's possible that Mez is going to take a role at the trial, but I doubt there are any concrete trial preparations just yet.

I hope the supreme court hears the case. It's ridiculously outrageous those scum bastards are still allowed to abuse and take advantage of the court system and the unfairness of the law not protecting the deceased.
