I don't know if it's correct to say Finaldi dropped them. IMO it's more likely that they dropped him. Finaldi is specialized in forcing settlements. Now that it didn't happen and a trial looks to be ahead, they dropped him.
As someone who followed the depositions I saw that Finaldi would be a horrible trial lawyer. He was unnecessarily argumentative, disrespectful etc. He was even fined by the court. But still, the weird thing to me is not that they got a lawyer specialized in trials, but rather that Finaldi leaves the case. It could have been just this new lawyer joining the team. Finaldi is a narcissistic ambulance chaser so it's unlikely to me this was his choice to leave this case now so close to conclusion.

MJ's side too has new lawyers. Mez has been on board for some time. Keller is also a trial lawyer. (Was Kevin Spacey's attorney recently.) New judges have been appointed for both Wade and James's case but now MJ's side argues Wade and James filed the action (for the change of judge) in the wrong courthouse.

Why can't be this shit over and the system itself allows this abuse, ridiculousness to continue? I'm fed up and I bet most people are too. π€

I'm fed up and I bet most people are too. π€ Same, but I'm also weirdly relieved that nothing has been set in stone yet. It kinda sucks, but at the same time it does give MJ's lawyers more time to interview as many people as possible so they can bring the best defense possible. The real downer is that Reed was there... and so were fans. Fans dressed as Michael. Hooooooooooo boy. Way to give that assclown ammunition, MJFam. Good times. I need a beer.

And yet the estate are still pressing forward with this biopic, which could potentially be out the same year as a trial? Talk about bad timing. Fans said from day one that now wasn't the time for an MJ biopic but as always, they press forward with the most ridiculous and ill-advised decision making. I think it could be a good idea, it would restore Michael's image more. Some fans, not respecting the man, are waiting for releases but these are selfish because they don't think about the reputation of the human... I don't see why the Estate should please these fans when Michael's reputation should be restored even before his career.

This is a great move. Knowing what pathological liars James and Wade are, I'm sure they'll find plenty of inconsistencies in the unused footage. And it would hurt Dan Reed and Leaving Neverland's credibility in the process.
