Beat It and Dirty Diana but I like Give In To Me which I only listen to very little though.
Another Day I don't know very well.
But is Privacy really a rock song?

But is Privacy really a rock song? No, and neither is Morphine

I think it's closer to industrial metal than rock

I think it's closer to industrial metal than rock I think a lot of folks lump metal in with rock. If we're including Morphine in this discussion, then that ones definitely my favourite MJ rock song. I loved Morphine from the first time I heard back in 97 and it's only become more powerful and poignant over time. In terms of his best traditional rock song, it's gotta be Give Into Me or Dirty Diana. I also love D.S. because of what it represents - it's such a mantra of a f-you to Sneddon. Also, an honourable mention goes out to State of Shock, which is just great fun, listening to Mike and Mick trade-off ad-libs like that.

I would say Privacy is a rock/R&B hybrid. It has the snarling vocals and a guitar solo giving it that rock edge, but the shuffling rhythm is kind of R&B.

Beat It, although Iβm a little tired of it, it is commercial rock at its very best. And the guitar solo is iconic thanks to Van Halen.

Yeah, tbh the only reason I didn't go for Beat It is because I've heard it enough for this lifetime. But thar doesn't detract from the fact that it's a brilliant song and always an epic moment in his concerts. What I wouldn't give to have seen MJ on the cherry picker one last time in 2009....

Something was missing, and that was State of Shock!

Privacy is dope. I'm obsessed with that song. It's the way he sings it - it's very sexy, even if that's not the intention.
Beat It would be my #2 choice.
