I completely forgot about this song until last night when it came on while my music player was on shuffle. So I thought I would bring it to light for those of you who forgot about it, haven't listened to it in a while, or never heard it.
So many things I could say that I love about this song, but I will keep it short and just say- I really love 2:25 -2:41 .

I have always loved Cheater even more than Streetwalker. Yeah, I agree with this. I've always found Streetwalker a tad overrated by fans and by Michael (sorry Mike, I know you loved it!). I find it fascinating that MJ returned to work on Cheater during the Invincible sessions. I'd love to hear what he did to it one day before I croak.

Can I get away with the word "slammin'" in my mid-50s?

Oh yes, this is such a great track, and a pretty unique one in his discography too. It has some similarities to other tracks, but nothing comes quite close to it. Streetwalker is mentioned here, but that's more like an upbeat pop song, and not as loose and funky. Monkey Business feels most similar to me, but does not quite have the same raw and unbridled energy. The ad-libs on this song are so good, and I love the modulation at the end.
One buh-low to the head is all you need!
