Wow. She really just dropped the best album of the year so far with this one. Tons of great songs on it, and the album is her best so far! It’s even better than her first official studio album!
Her last album was shit. So glad she dropped that style.
LOVE “Birds of a Feather” and “Chihiro” a lot. What is your fav?

Lol "that style"? Her last album covered like 10 different styles.
I thought her last album was incredible, but to each their own of course. Having said that, he new album is pretty good too. I've listened to the whole thing twice so far and didn't hear anything I disliked.

I really loved Everything I Wanted and a few other songs from her debut album.
I thought Happier Than Ever was underwhelming and totally forgettable.
This album is damn amazing. I've listened to it twice and it's just getting better. Easily one of the best pop albums I've heard in a long time. It puts Taylor and Beyonce to shame.

Again...to each their own regarding her last album. I didn't think much of her debut album myself but I'm glad you dug it. And yeah, the new one is pretty good so far.

I absolutely love When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Everything I Wanted. The debut album blew me away and Everything I Wanted sealed the deal. I didn’t give Happier Than Ever enough of a chance if I’m being honest. It felt like such a departure from the first album. I couldn’t get used to her with blonde hair lol. But, with russtcb’s glowing endorsement I need to spin it again a few times and just go with it. Hit Me Hard And Soft is a different beast though. And What Was I Made For? Is stunning also. My wife is a Beyoncé fan and she said she liked a few tracks from her new album but she’s not been listening to it apart from once. I’m fairly enthusiastic about Taylor but -again- apart from listening to the Anthology version of Tortured Poets Department once and 2 or 3 tracks from it a few times over I just think it’s same old same old formulaic rehash. Billie’s album is levels above imo.

Let me say this: if you haven't liked what she's done in the past, there's nothing here that's gonna change your mind.

Her last album was shit. So glad she dropped that style. LOVE “Birds of a Feather” and “Chihiro” a lot. What is your fav? Yes, Birds Of A Feather and Chihiro are two of my faves too. I think people who aren't a fan of her usual whisper singing should give Birds Of A Feather a listen. Her voice sounds great on that song, love her tone. The production on this album is truly next-level. You need to listen to it with headphones to really appreciate how intricate it is. And the songwriting really puts Taylor Swift to shame. These songs are like poems. "Am I acting my age now? Am I already on the way out? When I step off the stage, I'm a bird in a cage I'm a dog in a dog pound And you said I was your secret And you didn't get to keep it And the internet is hungry for the meanest kind of funny And somebody's gotta feed it" (Skinny) "You were born reaching for your mother's hands Victim of your father's plans to rule the world Too afraid to step outside Paranoid and petrified of what you've heard" (Blue) Just two examples but they're all well-written songs. She released Lunch as single with music video. It's a good song but not a standout on this album imo. Probably the most radio friendly though.

It's a shame her music videos are often so low budget. This song deserved better.
