Jay Z dropped hints on 4:44 that he had cheated on his wife Beyonce. But the Grammy winner has never come out and said outright that he stepped out on her.
That changed on Wednesday when the hip hop legend, 47, sat down with Dean Baquet from The New York Times for a very revealing chat.
The New York-born entrepreneur not only admitted that he been unfaithful to his wife of nine years, but the Young Forever singer also said that therapy kept them from getting divorced.
He also touched on his difficult friendship with Kanye West, but went out of his way to insist he will always love Kim Kardashian's husband and that they will laugh at these spats when they're 89.
Jay Z started talking about the infidelity when he addressed the scars he still has from his past.
Those scars led to him push away his wife, 36. And that led to the cheating that she addressed in Lemonade.
'You have to survive. So you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode, what happens? You shut down all emotions. So, even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can't connect. ... In my case, like, it's deep. And then all the things happen from there: infidelity,' he said.
He has never named the woman he cheated with. Beyonce has called her 'Becky with the good hair.'
First she touched on his straying on Lemonade.
Then he addressed it on 4:44.
But he said that it was not planned that way and they were actually going to do a joint album.
'We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together. And then the music she was making at that time was further along. So, her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on.'
He added: 'We still have a lot of that music. And this is what it became. There was never a point where it was like, "I’m making this album." I was right there the entire time.'

They shouldn't have had those twins in the sense that it's cruel to bring up innocent children into arranged/dysfunctional marriages.

I don't think their marriage is arranged or dysfunctional, I just think they leak things to get themselves newsworthy.

Yep, this is what I think. I don't know if Jay really cheated on Beyoncé or not, but I feel they both use it to create a soap opera that keeps people interested in their music. I think even their children are used that way.

I never said the way they got the babies was unusual. The moment anyone cheats on their partner or spouse it shows the relationship is dysfunctional and if Beyoncé is still with Jay despite his past infidelities, it seems it's beneficial in the monetary sense. It may have been authentic in the beginning but it doesn't seem like a genuine marriage anyone, that's why I think it's cruel (not unusual ) to bring up babies like that

Didn't Solange confronted Jay-Z in an elevator and hit him because he cheated on her sister? Unless Beyoncé told her to stage that but Solange doesn't seem an attention whore.

Cheating is obviously the breaking point for many, many relationships (and for extremely good reasons), but if Beyoncé and Jay Z want to work through it then by all means good for them. I don't see the point in rushing to assume it's for financial benefit or trying to look for negative angles, none of us know enough about their relationship for that. Some people believe in trying to make it work, others don't. It seems they fall in the former. Such news is going to be financially beneficial no matter what way it goes anyway (and I reckon it'd make much bigger news if they did break up tbh, never mind all the further dating rumours especially around Beyoncé ... and if she got with another celebrity, yeesh even bigger). So honestly, if it works for them then I'm happy for them and in the meantime, JAY Z deserves any criticism and shame he gets his way.
