I assumed no live records either? Man, this is difficult. My top 10 would probably differ tomorrow again already, only a few of these are fixtures. In no particular order: Michael Jackson - Bad James Brown - The Payback Sam Cooke - Night Beat Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street Prince - Dirty Mind Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the Edge of Town The Jacksons - Destiny Elvis - From Elvis in Memphis Gil Scott-Heron - Pieces of a Man King Curtis - Soul Serenade I avoided live albums myself but if it counts as a seminal release for the artist then perhaps you could include it? Looking at your list now -which is brilliant as always- James Brown, Elvis, Springsteen all had incredible live albums, even Prince had a few very good releases, One Nite Alone and Indigo Nights. Actually yes, maybe we can include them if they were stand alone releases as opposed to being included in a boxset only. I Want to make a few changes to my list already! Ongoing changes are allowed.

Not so much me, but if it was NOT just one album per artist, it would be a 2 artist line up with 4 Michael Jackson albums and at least 6 Prince, nothing even compares to them.

I really thought I'd replied to this!
MJ - Dangerous (forever #1) Madonna - Erotica or American Life Janet Jackson - Janet Alanis Morrisette - Jagged Little Pill Suede - Coming Up George Michael - Faith Oasis - Definitely Maybe Daniel Merriwether - Love and War Fratellis - Here We Stand Killers - Hot Fuss
Honourable mentions to Back To Black, Different Class, Appetite For Destruction, Californication, Somgs in Key of Life, and loads I've forgotten probably.
