Always felt he was underrated. Here are some of my favourite LK tracks:

Don't really rate him tbh. A poor mans Prince/Hendrix clone.

I dig a few Lenny tracks, I actually really liked most of the Baptized album.
He's definitely talented, but I agree, there is a missing ingredient somewhere. I think he never truly established a sound of his own or something that is unique only to Lenny Kravitz. He wears his influences on his sleeve, but doesn't have a whole lot to say outside of that.

All I know is, he ruined “Another Day” on “Michael “.

All I know is, he ruined “Another Day” on “Michael “. A shame as I quite liked the leaked version. It's funny because the Michael version has an utterly SUPERB intro, it's so grand and it sets you up for this amazing, epic masterpiece that's about to follow... but everything following the intro is so tame and lackluster. I feel if you get the intro of the Michael version, combine that with the feel of the leaked version, you'd have a pretty good pop-rock song on your hands!

All I know is, he ruined “Another Day” on “Michael “. I don't think it's particularly well-known that Lenny did his own, albeit drastically different, version of Another Day called "Storm" which featured Jay-Z and was on his 2004 album Baptised. It has mostly the same lyrics and melody but very different production. Obviously, MJs is far superior and listening to the two songs back to back highlights the difference in their abilities as a singer. Check it out:

It's weird singing along with the chorus, I'm not used to hearing it without 'I Can't Make It Another Day!'

I actually don't mind Lenny's stripped back version, but I do suspect he changed it up that way more out of necessity than through any creative choice, as I'm not convinced he possesses the vocal chops to pull off the rockier version like MJ did.

The best Lenny Kravitz song in my opinion is above.
The second best below
Also love the other choices you have shown Believe Rock n roll is dead American Woman Mr Cab Driver (Reads too many story books)
Also we can't forget this man wrote and gave us Justify my Love
Okay he is not on the level of Prince, Michael Jackson or even Terence Trent D'Arby, but he has had his moments and Heaven Help is a treasure to behold.

On a love journey, I've got places to go........... Heaven help the fool that walks through my door Because I've decided right now, I'm ready for love
Magical lyrics.
I also recommend "Stand by my woman".

I dug out my Are You Gonna Go My Way album to given this a listen. Indeed, it's a lovely song. Very soulful and kind of Motown-esque. Whenever I listen to LK, I always end up thinking he's better than I give him credit for.
