I don't think this is a hard question to answer. No MJ. I don't get why you'd give up listening to every other artist on earth for one.

HIStoric LOL, I like how you imagined it in so much detail, as a situation where the music is still there but simply inaudible to us. It sounds like a Black Mirror episode. "Parties will be awkward too." Heck, it actually wouldn't surprise me if music playlist customization in the future would consist of us being able to filter out tracks we don't like in our environment and mentally replace them with ones we do. Or that there'd be algorithms that create a soundtrack under a film in real time based on our preferences. Next level stuff.

HIStoric LOL, I like how you imagined it in so much detail, as a situation where the music is still there but simply inaudible to us. It sounds like a Black Mirror episode. "Parties will be awkward too." LOOOLL you got it man! Gotta think of the implications Or that there'd be algorithms that create a soundtrack under a film in real time based on our preferences. Next level stuff. Technologically that would be fascinating, but I hope not! Filmmakers and the composers of their films' soundtracks spent months, if not years, stressing over and perfecting minor details of the soundtracks for their film and the music that ends up in the film is deliberately chosen to reflect, manipulate and enhance many of the artistic aspects of films. There's so much subtleties to what really is an art form in itself and while I feel an algorithm could possibly find a great fit on the surface (i.e. an uptempo rock track for a car chase scene), it would lack the depth that an deliberately chosen soundtrack could provide. I'm not against fan remixes and editing a scene for fun to see how it would be with a new score underlying it, of course, but I wouldn't be keen for that to become mainstream and automated. ALSO to be a smartass: Heck, it actually wouldn't surprise me if music playlist customization in the future would consist of us being able to filter out tracks we don't like in our environment and mentally replace them with ones we do.We already have those. They're called headphones

It has to be no-MJ. His back catalogue isn't large enough to justify listening to him and only him for the rest of my life. There is too much great music out there outside of MJ... of course, it would be a massive loss to have no MJ music in my life, but it would be an even greater loss to not have non-MJ music in general in my life, and I say that as someone who considers MJ his number one favourite artist.

That involves divorcing myself from Prince and that will never happen. Sorry Michael, but this is a sacrifrice too far.
