I've been to many great concerts over the years. Seen some legends too. Love nothing more than a good gig. Here's my top 5. What's yours?
1) Michael Jackson, HIStory tour, Wembley, 1997 No words necessary.
2) Kate Bush, Before the Dawn show in Hammersmith, London 2014
Amazing artist. This show was powerful. I was 2nd row from the front. It was like a theatre performance rather than a gig. Her songs told a story. Absolutely stunning
3) Morrissey, London 02. World Peace is None of Your Business tour.
Love, love, love Mozza. Great show, good atmosphere. He's wonderful live.
4) Prince, the 02 Arena - 21 Nights tour
I went to two of his shows of this series of gigs. Wow. I never was a massive fan but after that? Whole new level of love and respect. He is one of the best, live.
5) Madonna, Drowned World Tour, London
Really enjoyed her live. The atmosphere was electric. Wish to see her again in the future.
I've seen some others that I rate highly, amongst them Tori Amos, Take That, Guns N Roses etc. But the top five I mentioned were the best.
How about yours?

Well, so far in my 31 years of life, I have seen Bon Jovi twice, Bryan Adams about 5 times, I've seen the BSB (dont laugh I was 12... lol) and I think thats it! Although I will be seeing Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga in september. I wish I could say I had seen Michael live but he never came back to Canada after 1988... I have to admit though I was never a lucky one to get tickets for bigger shows like Madonna or Aerosmith. Would have loved to see them!

Michael Jackson HIStory tour Prince Madonna MDNA Springsteen Dylan Beyonce -she was ok but not really my thing. Take That The Circus for 2 nights and one of the best concerts I've ever seen/been to! Also saw them with Robbie on Progress but The Circus was their best imho.
Saw tons more such as REM, Oasis, David Gray, Paul Weller, Damien Rice, The Prodigy, some good some ok.
The ones that got away, George Michael and Kate Bush. Such is life.

I missed a golden opportunity to see Michael on History tour in 1996. He played 2 concerts in Auckland in November and I was stuck in Dunedin finishing University exams. Had Michael come the next week, I would have been there.
Have not been to that many concerts in my life, but these standout.
1. Prince - Piano and Microphone Tour, Auckland Feb 24 2016 (Both shows) - These were brilliant, Prince was on fire and he played all my favourite songs and most of Sign o the Times on a piano. He was in a good mood too.
2. Prince - Welcome to Australia, Melbourne May 15 2012 - Prince and the whole band (NPG with John Blackwell on drums), this was a great performance too, lots of dancing, guitar and frenzied vocals, so much going on and my first Prince concert.
3. Elton John - Apr 29 2008, Auckland, This was a big concert and tour and Elton played a crowd pleasing selection of his 70s and 80s classics, pretty good and he had the crowd of mostly 50+ people dancing in the aisles. At $350 a ticket, it was not cheap.
I also kicked myself that I did not go the Madonna Rebel Heart tour later in March 2016 as I had spent all my money on Prince tickets earlier. What made the Prince concerts more poignant was that he was dead 2 months later.

Top 5 would have to be:
Michael Jackson - Bad tour or Dangerous Tour Madonna - Seen 3 times, but best has to be The Girlie Show 1993, although the setlst for Reinvention in 2004 was near perfect Suede - many, many times Fratellis - same, many times Stevie Wonder
Prince doesn't make my Top 5 I'm afraid as much as I loved it.

Nothing beats live music. Some famous (ranging from somewhat to very famous) names I have seen include The Rolling Stones, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Jacksons (without MJ), Nile Rodgers, Van Morrison, Larry Graham, Bob Dylan, Billy Idol, Hall & Oates, Rakim, KRS One, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Charles Bradley, Solomon Burke, Sonny Rollins, Public Enemy, The Temptations and Four Tops (current-day line-ups), Elvis' TCB band, Muse, De La Soul, Fred Wesley, Megadeth, and Booker T. Jones.
The two best live acts I have seen are Prince and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. Unfortunately I only got to see Prince perform once (tried to go more often, but tickets were always very hard to come by). I have seen Springsteen many times and hope to be able to get many more chances to see him live.
My biggest regrets are not getting to see MJ (I had tickets for This Is It...) and James Brown.
