What are those awesome pieces that you find yourself listening to outside of watching the film?
I think this might just be my all time favorite. Might be the most gorgeous theme in cinema history.
Miklosz Rozsa - El Cid (Love Theme)

Mulholland Drive comes to mind straight away, along with Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me.
Angelo Badalamenti is the master of the sombre mood, IMO. H'es become my favourite composer over the last year. Anything I've heard by him just floors me. But Mulholland Drive, is just beautiful and gorgeous in every way.

I love the entire soundtrack to The Truman Show, including the original music composed for the film by the legendary Philip Glass.
I also love the music to a lot of horror films, especially 70s ones like The Exorcist, The Omen and Susperia.
And the music from the original Romeo & Juliet movie is stunning:

Composer reminds me of a subtler, more minimalist Vangelis. I think I need to watch that film one more time though. It's the sort of thing you need spoilers for to get a better understanding...At least I do since I'm not used to that kind of films

^^John Williams is absolutely prolific and has created many memorable film scores. Probably my favorite ones are the music of the original Star Wars Trilogy, E.T. and Superman.
Some other favorites.

Anything by John Williams, the man is an absolute genius through and through. Created a number of the most iconic motifs in film history.

I like that too. This is weirdly fascinating. LOL. And I agree that John Williams is a genius. So many memorable scores. When you hear just the first notes of this music you immediately know what it is. It's a shark! And of course the great music he wrote for Star Wars. My favourite:

I like that too. This is weirdly fascinating. LOL. The conductor seemed he was summoning Satan, LOL! And some members of the choir were scared as hell. Speaking of The Omen, the Academy got edgy when Jerry Goldsmith won the Oscar for Best Oriiginal Score. People would say back in the day it's unthinkable a score and song dedicated to the Anti Christ were Oscar worthy. So epic and edgy when Jerry went to recieve his Oscar the orchestra began to play Ave Satani. Another epic moment of The Oscars was when Senior Ennio Morricone won his first Oscar for The Hateful Eight. More long overdue than Leonardo Dicapprio's Oscar, he should have won since The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Seeing two legends hugging each other and Senior Morricone's moving speech made me cry.

Speaking of John Williams, Hedwig's Theme holds a very special place in my heart. That Celesta intro is legendary for every Harry Potter fan.
