Interesting thread. I have to be honest, I felt a little "let down" by Axl Rose with this whole GNR reunion. I really loved the Chinese Democracy album, and I respected Axl for following his artistic muse in spite of massive amounts of resistance from GNR purists and rock media, all clamouring for a reunion with Slash. Axl maintained for years and years that this would never happen and no eight figure sum would change his mind. But it did. It wasn't so much the decision to reunite itself that bothered me (I'm a fan of the original lineup as much as anyone else), but it signalled the final death knell of Axl Rose the artist - the man driven by art instead of commerce. He seems completely uninterested in creating new music or moving Guns N Roses forward as a band, complacent in becoming a nostalgia act, putting in as little work as possible for the biggest financial rewards. I suppose I can't blame him for this and I can't say I wouldn't feel tempted to do the same in his position, but it's hardly something to admire in a man. russtcb - penny for your thoughts? Guns N' Roses, more than any other artist have let me down the most. The reunion isn't even the problem for me. It's all the wasted potential of so many lineups with nothing to show for it but one album. Chinese Democracy happens to be my favorite GN'R album and I cannot believe nothing else ever saw the light of day from all the creative people that were around to create it. The only part of the reunion that let me down, again relates to the lack of new material. I once lost a $50 bet to someone because I was absolutely SURE they'd release at least one single during the first year of the reunion

I swear sometimes it's as if this man goes out of his way to shit on the people who have stuck by and supported him for years and years.

I don't really understand being bitter about the reunion tbh, I enjoyed seeing them perform again and Axl gave some killer performances. Axl has repeatedly said over the years that chidem two is finished. It just won't be released because the first one was such a flop and nobody is willing to finance another one. (which it would be) Honestly I personally doubt much of it is any good. I think the best stuff they recorded went on the original album. Also, I agree, it's my favourite gnr record as well.
I am still hopeful we'll get new gnr material in time. They are in no rush though. There were rumours last month that they had already started recording, although I doubt that personally.

I think Eminem would probably be the one for me. I've still enjoyed his more recent stuff a lot more than other people seem to have but his latest album revival is just utter trash. It has like 4 good songs on it. He's so out of touch it hurts.

KANYE WEST - The first 4 albums were all dope and then with with The Life of Pablo, he really just disappeared up his own ass. Seriously I am always bumping, the College Dropout and Late Registration - they were the Childish Gambino of the 2000s.
The Ye's ego got carried a way with the big booty white ho and all this grill in my mouth shit. Early Kanye West was deep and quick to slam the ghetto lifestyle and fads, and yet now he is promoting it and living that hood lifestyle. Through the Wire and Jesus Walks - you never hear him write songs like that any more.
