It's all about your priorities and what you value in life. I've seen some terrific shows over the years, but because of where I live, no self-respecting major league artist plays anywhere near me, so it's a kind of a big deal for me to go to a show. It's a 5 hour return train journey to London, an overnight stay in a hotel, food, meals... the whole thing adds up to a very expensive night out.
For some artists, it is absolutely worth it. But now MJ and Prince are gone and I've seen most of my other favourites (Tori, Morrissey, Kate Bush, GNR), I can't see me doing many more concerts in my lifetime. That kind of makes me a little sad, but it is what it is. I just feel lucky that I was old enough to catch the tail-end of MJ and Prince when they were still active and touring.

naw the main reason why i don't go is because most acts can't perform and lack that thing to make a legit concert

I agree, I read too many reviews in our paper of some rap act showing up on stage an hour late and singing 6 songs and not doing an movement on stage just stand there and flexing at most or doing some retarded rap dance like the dougie, or stanky leg. The concerts usually devolve into chaos and violence and are often held at some night club in the ghetto rather than our main venues as the White managers know rappers attract a duskier and violence prone crowd.
In the 1960s and 1970s, most Black artists prided themselves on their choreography, stepping and working up the audience and the 1980s and 1990s saw it consolidated with people like Prince and Michael Jackson. Now with all these viral and net produced viral rap trend songs, and rap groups of size diverse individuals and people with low intelligence and imagination, they just stand there and mime along to a backing track of their hit song.
I have no idea why the fuck anyone would pay to see a rapper, other than a legend like LL Cool J or Ice Cube. Plus the fact they usually drink and do drugs and this is common even at shows.
