Following our poll thread, I am now extending to Off the Wall, tomorrow I will set up HIStory and then after that we can compare the highest scoring songs on all of the lists and start a super poll of the Top 10 songs overall (Except Invincible which is much older and has many more votes that the other threads.
As this album only has ten cuts, I will limit to three songs (But History will be 5 songs)
Mine
1. DSTYGE - Amazing and unforgettable dance cut and so creamy. 2. Rock with you - a beautiful song and amongst my earliest memories of Michael Jackson 3. Working Day and Night - this thing is truly too funky for words and a good message song about a girl who wants just too much.

I can't help but feel you've made a slight error with choice 3 It's summer and that song is like a fresh breeze. Meh....who wants a fresh breeze when you can have a whirlwind Man, I wish Sunset Driver had made this album. It's probably the only change I would make to any OTW -> HIStory tracklisting.

It's probably the only change I would make to any OTW -> HIStory tracklisting. I'd have much preferred Sunset over Falling In Love, but that would offset the Disco side 1 to the emotional side 2, so I think the right choice was made.

^ Yeah but SD has a 'Jackson sends chills down your spine' moment, when he mimics the lick of da-da-da-da-da-da-da (you know what I mean)

I'm glad to see Workin' Day and Night get all the love it deserves. An underrated masterpiece.

Don't Stop Til You Get Enough- It's phenomenal hearing this in a club or at a party and he should have intermittently used it on tour; do it every other show in place of WBSS to mix things up a bit. Would have loved a live version on The Dangerous Tour and This Is It.
Workin' Day & Night- Such a loose and funky track and one of his all time best.
Burn This Disco Out- IMO this is soooo underrated. I love that the album closes with this. A little bit like Blame It On The Boogie too. It's upbeat, very danceable and has the party vibe.

I was kind of offended that in that stupid Beyonce vs. MJ poll WDAN was one of only three songs that was losing to Beyoncé. LOL. I think to Irresistible. Where did people left their good taste? It's brilliance vs. mediocrity. I'd like to think people just don't know it as much as MJ's bigger hits. I can live with I Wanna Be Where You Are losing (that was a weird choice to include in the poll anyway) and even I Just Can't Stop Loving You, but this song losing is nuts. LOL. But seriously, I'd go as far as this is the best song on OTW. And it's full of great songs. It should have been a single. And Get on the Floor too. Another underrated gem.

As much as I blow on about a lot of modern popstars, mediocrity is king in this day and age! The whole Beyonce Vs MJ thing is just offensive and an insult. It's all modern day posturing set in motion by key media players who set the trends; JayZ and people like Wendy Williams perpetuate these idea's and people buy in to it. It's ridiculous and it's bought. Working Day & Night should have been a single surely. Perhaps had it appeared on a later album it would have been released as the albums became massive era's but even by Thriller WDAN was probably beginning to sound dated as MJ's sound began to evolve. But it's definitely a single that got away. I recently listened to the amateur recording of the Bad Tour live in Aintree Liverpool - HIStoric you need to listen to the interval of that show to hear the band perform a once-off Beatles melody thats superb- and when MJ reappears for WDAN the crowd are all loving it and bopping along. Such an infections tune. I also love hearing it on The Making of Thriller doc.

So that means the superior cut got some exposure, given those songs were #1 and #10 hits and some of those buyers must have flipped that record over.
