Fell a few meters last night and broke my ankle! So got the next week and a half off work, but unfortunately I can no longer see Elton John who's coming to my country this month
I have a good few movies/TV shows sitting on watchlists across various streaming services though! So will be a good time to rip into those. First thing I decided to watch was some Simpsons, and of course in the very first episode I watch, this happened... π
Oh no! Maybe you could get a seated ticket? Such a shame you'll miss it, it's such a great show. Get well soon.

I am sorry to hear that. Get well soon. Thanks friends, appreciate the thoughts. Oh no! Maybe you could get a seated ticket? Such a shame you'll miss it, it's such a great show. I do have seated tickets, but it'll be a massive inconvenience moving around the venue. Not just that but I was going to get public transport there and that's now out of the question because it'll be absolutely packed like a can of sardines, both with normal rush hour commuters and the additional Elton John fans.
I mean, I guess I could Uber but yeah, there's still the pain of moving around of the venue with thousands of people around me. If this wasn't his farewell tour, I probably wouldn't mind as much because I'd just go next time, but ah well, that's life π
It's funny because I'm more upset about that than I am about the actual breaking! I don't know how, but it barely hurts at all. It's more of an ache tbh so I'm super fortunate and thankful in that regard. Could definitely be a lot worse!

What happened? I'm seeing him in December so I'll raise a glass to you at it! I'm still so lucky to have seen the show in Montreux, magical atmosphere. Only standing show of the tour!

I fell off a garage basically. It makes more sense if you see the setup, but basically I was walking along behind some apartments and I reached the end of the path. The whole area out the back was elevated a bit as there seemed to be a garage under it, and at the end of the path there was a garage door. I reached the end and couldn't see another way to get down. So I sat on the edge of the garage, jumped and well that was that. Called an Uber, went home and put some frozen peas/corn on it (don't think we have ice) to see if that would help. Genuinely didn't know it was broken until I had it X'ray'd because I assumed breaking one would have hurt waaaaay more (and it's meant to, very lucky in that regard). So I just assumed I had badly sprained it or something and that maybe the frozen goods would help out. I was drunk at the time and had just separated from some friends, but I wasn't trying to be stupid or acting like a fool or anything - thankfully. Otherwise I'd feel like a fucking idiot haha (okay well I still do a little). I genuinely believe I just miscalculated how far the fall was (which was 2.5 - 3? metres). It turns out there was a gate down the side that I could've left out of, but it was quite dark and I couldn't physically see it from where I was. I woke up around 6am, went upstairs and got my parents and we drove to the hospital (there were signs there saying if you're drunk or under the influence of anything, they won't accept you so honestly, even if I did alert my parents right away I'd still have to wait for the alcohol to wear off). Thank god for this country's health system, I spent maybe $45 today and that was just some accessories to make home life easier. I looked up the cost in places like America and was seeing prices well into the thousands - some people even spent over $100k!!

Ouch. Hope you feel better soon. You could still go to Elton's gig and hope he reworks 'Don't go breaking my leg'. Either that or dedicates 'I'm Still Standing' to you.

January was one long month, yet I "can't believe it's February already".

Now that I've listened to more I think this is a VERY good pressing.

Think my original pressing of dangerous may be damaged. She drives me wild sounds awful. Maybe it just needs a good clean. Hopefully.
