Thanks for the kind comments everyone. It went really well, she was super friendly. I was a bit nervous as they say "never meet your heroes", but I needn't have worried. We spoke for about 30 mins, and she was very easy to talk to. Felt very surreal considering how long I've been a fan. I was surprised how candid and open she was, she really wears her heart on her sleeve, she opened up about Covid and how depressed she felt during lockdown and for one moment I thought she was going to start crying. She didn't, but she really opened up to me which I wasn't expecting at all. At one point she said "I'm telling you this, because I can just sense you 'get it.'" Inside I was trying not to combust, but I couldn't have wished for it to have gone any better. She was everything I hoped she'd be, warm, compassionate, quirky, empathetic. Once the interview gets published I'll show you all  That's incredible! I know we'd all be dying inside if that ever happened with our favs hehe. I'm so glad it went so well for you. |
