I used to smoke "fags" when I smoked. I think it's still said here because it CLEARLY refers to cigarettes but wouldn't be surprised if it's not allowed anymore.

The Elon Musk mental breakdown that is him buying twitter is sure funny. He clearly bought the website purely because he wanted to stop people from criticising him and now that's all everyone on there is doing. Constantly antagonising the people who use and create the content on the website you now own wasn't the best idea apparently.

This just gives so much power to lunatics like myself who will wait for his sisters verified badge to disappear only to set up a fake account in her name, get it verified and watch her world burn as she puts herself as a man/flat earther/Garry Glitter fanatic. I know you're joking about so this is more of a general thing rather than aimed at you specifically, but I must say I'm confused why everyone is under the impression they can pay $8 and just pretend to be whoever they want. Literally every website I've been on, there's so many people under that impression?
Surely they're going to continue the verification methods that are stated above (or thereabouts), the only difference is that now it'll be behind $8 a month... which I also don't really see the big deal behind. I think if you're the kind of person who needs a verification tick, you can probably afford the $8 a month to support the website that you probably use a lot or use to supplement your income/business. Not saying everyone with blue ticks (like lower-key local journalists/scientists) would find it indifferent to spend that much a month and I could understand why they wouldn't wanna pay... but yeah.
And I was wrong. Looks like they’re not actually verifying you are who you are. I thought you’d pay, they’d verify then give you the tick. Basically what they USED to do, but just you could pay $8 to get a tick in the end, whereas before they’d only give the ticket after verifying you were someone of status. Nope! What a shit show 🤦🏼♂️😂 |
