Im aware, but the recent Twin Peaks RSD picture discs actually sound better than the earlier versions I had bought. As Sony didn't give any information as to the mastering of this release (on top of the fact they are picture discs), my expectations for the quality are low. I was however merely posting a bad review that I had come across. Rest assured if they had put money into this project it would be made a point of it. Is vinyl a hobby or are you looking for ultimate quality? If so you'd be better to invest in a good dac and HD streamer. I have a bluesound node/irdac and it kills anything vinyl can do for quality. Hobby, and my preferred method of listening. I like having a big box to look at and lyrics to read, and the best quality I've come across. Not interested in digital music- nothing to see. But this box set is mainly because I also collect and I wanted it. I already have HIStory and it sounds great, but not as good as the CD. |

Even Bowies box sets Ive gone for CDs and then picked the vinyl I wanted. The Queen set looks GORGEOUS. The Queen one is the only box set of this type I own. It came out right at the height of my queen obsession and I only had their greatest hits CD. I felt it was the perfect opportunity to have all their albums and the presentation is absolutely wonderful. The book that comes with it has some errors though which is a shame. |

I briefly picked up and had a look at the first Bowie vinyl boxset at a store when I saw it a year or two back. That thing was heavy! But man, I reckon when they have finally covered his whole career, having all the boxsets alongside each other will look very nice. |

Legitimately all of the inserts have big bend and crease marks down them. I am not pleased.
