I thought it'd be interesting to see how everyone listens to their music these days. I could never get into streaming. I think I'm a sucker for holding an actual product and having something physical to show for my money. Having said that, all my CDs just sit on a shelf looking pretty while I play them all on my iPod dock or on my iPhone.

Don't understand why anybody does anything other than streaming these days.

Streaming. MJ is the only artist by now from whom I still buy physical copies, just because he is my biggest favourite but I usually just put those CDs on the shelf and I listen to the music on streaming services.
I find it very comfortable as you have all your playlists on any of your devices whereever you go.

Apart from buying re releases of Prince and MJ albums and greatest hits collections, I have not bought a new studio album of any artist since the mid 2000s (Only exceptions, Prince, MJ and Madonna).

I mostly listen to my iPod. I prefer them to iPhones as you can fit more music on them. Even out loud, I use an iPod dock.

Doesn't anybody else use iTunes anymore? Is it true that Apple are stopping production of the iPod? I still use mine daily and would be gutted if I couldn't replace it when it breaks.
I don't like keeping my music on my phone, I like it being seperate, and don't want to be forced into buying an iPhone instead

I don't like keeping my music on my phone, I like it being seperate, and don't want to be forced into buying an iPhone instead Apple stopped making the iPod Classic years ago because the iPhone essentially replaced it in the market. You'll find people like yourself who want their music separate are definitely by far in the minority. The only iPod you can buy brand new now is the iPod Touch. As for iTunes, it's still very commonly used, many people who use iOS devices use it, and people who subscribe to Apple Music (around 30 million??) would use it too. The only music app to really contend it on computers is Spotify. I think you'll find most people are either using one or the other. Might I ask, why do you want to keep your music separate?

Besides digital, I also buy and listen to Physical CD's occasionally and in my car.
I also have a record player and play old vinyl 45s I buy at a local shop for a buck each. Now I have anoiut 150 of them ranging from 1952 to 1990 (Most are late 70s and early 80s).
