people.com/babies/janet-jackson-tour-post-baby-body/Janet Jackson is back! The 51-year-old singer kicked off her highly-anticipated State of the World tour on Thursday, just eight months after welcoming her first child, Eissa. Jackson gave some serious ’90s vibes for her Lafayette, Los Angeles, tour stop and even flaunted her signature all-black look. She showed off her slim figure in form-fitting outfits as she danced and sang in performances akin to her past, high-energy displays. Naturally, fans couldn’t help but praise the star, and many posted Twitter videos of the performance. “Janet over here not missing a beat and looking youthful as ever #SOTW,” one person tweeted alongside a video clip. Missy Elliott even weighed in, quote-tweeting a super fierce clip of the star to write, “Yup @janetjackson said what y’all thought she was playing?😂😄 this what she do! Snatch edges for a living.”

That actually looks like a really good setlist. So cool to see some lesser known singles/album tracks in there. Songs like Twenty Foreplay, State Of The World, The Knowledge and the brilliant Where Are You Now. Really surprised to see Spending Time With You, Island Life, The Body That Loves You and New Agenda on the set. Infact, the more I look at this setlist, the more it surprises me.
Might just be tempted to see her if she takes this to Europe.

To moan a little, Again as instrumental only? No Black Cat and some of her best songs seem to be medley only which is a shame but yes some nice surprises.
Would be worth a ticket for If, TTWLG, and Got Til It's Gone alone. Three stunning tracks.
Saw Miss Jackson live in 93 and 96 and she was great.

I don't get why she isn't doing the iconic choreography of Miss you much or Nasty. I like that she changes things but replace it with some unspectacular moves? ....

What a relief! Janet Jackson visits Houston hurricane evacuees...as it's revealed that lawsuit filed against her for cancelled gigs has been settled
She promised the flood-ravaged city of Houston 'something special' on Wednesday.
And on Friday, Janet Jackson delivered as she visited the George R. Brown Center, which became a Red Cross location after the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey.
The 51-year-old pop superstar greeted evacuees on site at the shelter before her concert in Houston that same night.
The Toyota Center, where the concert took place, revealed via Twitter that Janet would be donating proceeds from the gig to hurricane relief efforts.
It was also the same day that a lawsuit against Jackson and Live Nation entertainment over a series of cancelled concerts in 2016 was revealed to be settled by TMZ.
The settlement, in which fans received an undisclosed amount for the postponement of her tour after she became pregnant with son Eissa, is one legal worry off of Janet's plate as she sorts out her divorce from billionaire ex-husband Wissam Al Mana.
Jackson flashed her megawatt smile as she mingled with the crowd who were all excited to see the So Excited singer.
Decked out in a light blue denim jumpsuit, she kept her newly-fit body hidden after showing it off in concert the night before.
She hugged fans who were moved to tears upon seeing her and even held and comforted a fan's baby.
Janet kicked off her State Of The World Tour on Thursday night in New Orleans, performing 35 hits and fan-favorite tracks during her return to the stage.
The show received high marks from critics who praised the performer for her on-point moves after giving birth in January of this year and dropping a reported 60+ pounds in just a span of months.
In 2015, Janet embarked on her Unbreakable World Tour which was plagued by cancellations before it was completely postponed so Jackson and then-husband Al Mana could start their family.

Saw Janet on the news last night here in Houston-walking through the GRB and talking to fans who are sheltering. (GRB Convention Center is next door to Toyota Center, where she's playing tonight). Nice to see her do that and also nice to see Randy, although he seemed to be on his phone the whole time. Lol.
I liked the coverage and the review of her show in Lafayette was great, although it made me sad to see "51 year old superstar".
Oddly, enough, Beyonce was here yesterday too-with her mom and daughter-speaking to her old church and serving meals to other evacuees.

She looks like a different person now she's separated from Wissam. Nice to see the old Janet back, full of smiles and looking creatively engaged.

^Her new look reminds me of Janet era. Thought the same. Weird as MJ is This Is It before his big comeback reminded us of Dangerous era. Both around 92/93.

Well, all I can say is I got to see MJ live on each tour and Janet twice also etc etc...
So in your young face.
