For the laugh, I just put on Keep Your Head Up. Jesus it sounds less like MJ than I remember! The most the guy sounds like MJ is the falsetto I think.
Jesus what were/weren't they thinking.

That's what I found too, I had a listen to some of the tracks at work earlier and I just had to shake my head. I remember being in denial when I was younger and when the album came out, "Oh it's just demo vocals that are heavily processed!" but looking back now it's just so obviously not him.
I wonder how or if this will effect future releases. There's always been doubts of Michael's vocals since - see Paul McCartney's 2015 remix that featured new vocals of them both, or his appearance on Drake's new track - but now with the issue coming back in the public's eye, could that negatively effect any potential interest in future posthumous work? Certainly could turn some people off I reckon. I literally saw someone claim today that Xscape had fake vocals and I couldn't help but roll my eyes and sigh.

I literally can't do it. Sometimes I think I'd like to remind myself how bad they were , but my body won't let me press play. It's some sort of physical reaction / gag reflex. Also, it's not just the impersonation thing. The songs themselves were truly awful. I think maybe only Monster was slightly credible. Speaking of which I foresee a lawsuit from 'Fiddy' if this gets upheld. We all know how cash-strapped he is so I imagine he can claim he was mis-sold the gig. |

Has Teddy Riley made a comment about this yet? Lets not forget, he was the producer of these awful tracks and defended their authenticity.
The story is definitely gaining traction. Fans told the estate to not release these tracks back in 2010 and they ignored us and did it anyway. And they have now damaged their brand through their own arrogance.
What utter morons.
