How I spend my new years eve (in the company of a bottle of Baileys): I started by listening to J5 live at the forum (while making dinner) then I watched a J5 cartoon (while eating dinner) Then I watched This Is It Then I watched 30th anniversary concert
Then I watched a couple of J5 TV performances Then I watched Moonwalker all this before 12 am. now it is 12.30 am, and i'm gonna end the night with a Queen concert. Why not? |

Okay, I love this! I’m quite excited about it because I don’t remember ever hearing it. Maybe I did because I can’t see how I’d miss it but anyway…… Any thoughts or opinions on it? Obviously I adore the original but this is a really fun version.

I think I might actually like it more than the original (blasphemy, I know >.>). It’s awesome right?! It makes me want to dance. How is this not on an official release? It’s bonkers that alternative versions such as this, The Way You Make Me Feel video, Dirty Diana video and even the cool unreleased video for Behind The Mask aren’t on an official format. Remember after the release of Bad25 someone leaked the Price of Fame video. Like what do the estate plan on doing with these versions? I suppose they’re out there now so the value isn’t the same but it feels so disorganised. |

I’ve just started reading Brice Najar’s Book On The Dance Floor. Very interesting. I didn’t know that the Black & White fan club was responsible for helping create the Ghosts box set. In fact it was their idea to include Blood On The Dance Floor and they came up with the entire concept really. The success of the box set hinged on whether MJ would allow On The Line be included in the set. Sony didn’t think MJ would allow it and discouraged Laurent Hopman and his team at Black & White from requesting it, but lo and behold MJ surprisingly allowed it. Much to the delight of everyone. They were also responsible for creating the program booklet for the Ghosts film premiere and they reproduced a mini version of the program for the box set also. 150,000 boxes were produced and it sold out.

The Christmas I got that Ghosts boxset is one of my favourite childhood memories! I don't think I've ever been so excited to receive a Christmas present before or since. |
