In what country? Cause it's not on mine Moonwalker is on Prime in the US. I actually just watched it, and... yeah, it's still cool. However, I feel the need to point out that this is the edited version that removes Mr. Big pulling out the big drug needle and saying "I just want to get everybody high, man". But despite that being cut, the movie has a PG-13 rating slapped on it. There's also some dialogue that's muted, most notably Michael's "AAOW" right before the soldiers show up at the end of Smooth Criminal. The screaming/commotion from the club patrons as he's getting kicked out after the shootout is muted too. That being said, it's still worth a watch, especially if Amazon pays attention to streaming numbers and sees that there's a lot of interest in a good/positive MJ thing. The video quality is good (although it doesn't say it's HD), and the songs are pitched correctly. For some reason the copy of the movie I have on my media server has all the songs slightly pitched up so they don't sound quite right. The version on Amazon has the pitch correct, but again, the aforementioned scene with Mr. Big is cut. Eh, win some, lose some. Lucky. I wish it would come on prime in my country...

NEW concert documentary on Netflix (U.S.) called “Save the Children” documents the 1972 Push Exposition in Chicago with performances by The Jackson 5 among many others. I believe this documentary already exists but it’s been recently rescanned for better quality and it looks great.

Michael said the following in his 1988 book, "Moonwalk": "Our only problem with schoolwork was that once we became well known, we couldn't go to school because people would come into our classrooms through the windows, looking for an autograph or a picture. I was trying to keep up with my classes and not to be the cause of disruptions, but it finally became impossible and we were given tutors to teach us at home."Motown under Berry Gordy organised the tutors for the Jackson 5 as well as classes on manners, grammar, how to answer questions from the media and so on. It was very extensive. Suzanne dePasse managed the J5 at this point. Joseph Jackson had ceased being the manager once Motown signed the boys and Berry Gordy took over.

👑 "When we worked together on Bad, I was in awe of his absolute mastery of movement on the one hand, and of the music on the other. Every step he took was absolutely precise and fluid at the same time. It was like watching quicksilver in motion." ~ Film director Martin Scorsese
“I’d buy him a present, something small and fun, and he’d be very excited about what it was. He was very sweet. He reminded me of a kid- innocent, eager and joyful.”
Director Francis Ford Coppola on Michael Jackson

Waiting for Bill Botrell to go on the MJ cast one of these days… Monkey Business is one of my favorite MJ songs.

LL COOL J recently opened up about his unreleased collaborations with Michael Jackson, revealing why the tracks are unlikely to ever be released.
In an interview with KIIS FM that aired on Saturday (October 19), he discussed the songs they created together, noting, “They weren’t good enough. We definitely made songs together.
We made music together. One of them leaked a while ago, it was called ‘Serious Effect.’ That was one. But there was some other stuff and it just didn’t get there. Sometimes the art don’t get there. It just doesn’t get there … Being able to hang out with Mike and work with Mike and be in the studio with him, it was dope.”
During the interview, LL was prompted to share a memorable story from his time in the studio with the King of Pop. He recounted an amusing moment: “There are so many stories. It’s so hilarious, bro.”
The conversation shifted to a lighthearted incident where Jackson playfully threw cake at him while they were at Neverland Ranch. Laughing, LL recalled, “We in the studio and he’s sitting on top of the piano. I’m sitting at the piano and we’re talking. I’m like, ‘How’d y’all do that thing with ‘Smooth Criminal’ where you lean in like that? How’d you do that, how’d you lean forward?’ He said, ‘Well, we brought in a shaman and had a big ceremony and we burned candles and incense and did a whole big ritual.’ I said, ‘Really, Mike?’ He said, ‘No, silly.’”
In a previous interview with Complex, LL emphasized his admiration for MJ, stating, “Me and Michael Jackson went to the studio man. Mike showed a lot of love to me in general, and definitely to hip-hop. Let’s be clear: For me, he’s the king. I’m a Michael Jackson fan, B. His talent speaks for itself.”

I really dig this channel. It's brief but there's talk of the location where the cover for Off The Wall was shot right around the 5:43 mark

Every time I put MJ on at work, everyone stops what they're doing and are glued: Same thing happened when I worked at an out of school club for primary aged kids years ago. Kids loved Ghosts, but some parents complained it was inappropriate because its scary (it was Halloween!) and also because of those bloody allegations. But the kids loved Michael anyway! Maybe some still do now they're adults - I know one of them now has a toddler. Time flies!
