All very intentional. Sinister/guilty/perv.... chose the pic to push the agenda. Yeah, it's all so done and obvious. Unfortunately though (in my opinion) I think MJs surgery in the later years somehow made it much easier for people to believe the rumours and it's still true today.

What does that one thing have to do with the other? His appearance was seen as creepy and being seen as creepy isn't helpful if you're being accused of child molestation.

Pictures like the one used here and the mugshot help push the agenda. If your not really a fan to begin with and see the mugshot it’s game over. I hope one day things go right for MJ’s public image because he just does not deserve this injustice. He came up in conversation for me at work again yesterday with a colleague I really like and get on with, and I could see from her face that she probably thinks he’s done it. And I didn’t have time or the mental strength to explain it yet again as I’m exhausted and run down from working. I hate the constant baggage that goes with being a fan. I’m back to dreading his name popping up. Why did things have to go this way?!

I dunno how the fans handled it back in 2003-2005 but that strength will be needed again.

Not because of the trial, it was just a coincidence, but it was the best thing I could have done from a personal point of view. I bought The Ultimate Collection which was released while I was there and also the Number Ones album and dvd, and also Moonwalker. Although I spent most of the year listening to other artists. I remember I was walking through the West End of Brisbane and my brother rang to say MJ had been found innocent. I think what’s so frustrating this time is that we absolutely know the media is pushing this aswell. We knew it back then but this time you can connect the dots to people, journalists, blue ticks on Twitter, influencers like Oprah helping Harvey Weinstein etc. We can see that part of the world is protecting monsters and deliberately using Michael Jackson as a deflection and sucking the blood out of him for money. Wade, James, HBO, Oprah and many others stabbing him in the back in front of our eyes. It makes one lose faith in humanity. It really does.

To be honest, I saw it made Sky News but it was definitely impartial. Other than that, I see this news as absolutely no change whatsoever. If anything, I've seen a lot of comments of "ah here we go. I wanted to give these guys the benefit of the doubt but it WAS about money". This is basically just confirmation of the news we got a few weeks ago.

Saw a clip on bbc world news before bed. (best time not!)They used footage of mj and lisa at the ranch doing that kids charity thing where he looks hot in that red jacket. Turned it off as first line was "an appeals court" eh!? No doubt spinning it to make it look like its been sent back via appeal cause its credible.
Almost a year to the day since L.N was announced. It just seems to be a never ending battle. 10.5 years on!!!
Ppl been pushed to assume guilt because of the way someone looks its nothing short of a lynchmob mentality and frankly shows how dangerous the media are.little things like that show the agenda and motive of the establishment. Ppl who judge mjs guilt based on some grotty intentionally placed photo arent even worth having time wasted over.
Still fail to see why this new law covers them. They werent denied their day in court cause of statue of limitations.they had due process and lost or am i missing something?

Yes, you are, and you guys seriously need to read this thread if you don't understand what's going on and why. I don't know how much better I can explain it. Just read it!
Yeah, that's absolutely stupid. And BTW, that photo by Reuters isn't just that MJ doesn't look good on it, but the whole set up of it: a black shade covering half of his face. It is not just about how he looks why it is manipulative.

I get so depressed reading stuff like this. When's it all going to end?
I got into a debate about this with my brothers friend yesterday as it came up on the news. My family know better than to bring this up with me, but my brothers friend was convinced of MJs guilt and very opinionated and loud.
I think I defended MJ well, but it is hard when you're fighting the tide of mass media manipulation. Everytime I'd say about the lies Wade/James have been caught out in, he'd return to more broad criticisms which, tbh, I struggled to answer. Stuff like "why was he taking boys on tour with him and letting them stay in his hotel room?". It just felt so trite replying with "because he didn't have a childhood" and I genuinely didn't know what to say, because it is hard to defend stuff like that.

Just to be 100%, respect77, Robchuck aren't suing MJ's Estate, just the corporations they have previously gone after? If so, I struggle to see why anyone could possibly think they would have any legal success.

It just felt so trite replying with "because he didn't have a childhood" and I genuinely didn't know what to say, because it is hard to defend stuff like that. For example, you could have used the defense that other than Safechuck, actually none of his accusers went on tour with him. A lot of talking points people raise are misconceptions. He did take kids with him on tour (not just boys, BTW), but actually apart from Safechuck, none of his accusers are among those kids. In fact, Joy Robson complained about how MJ refused to take Wade on tour.
Even with Safechuck, he AND his parents (who were always there on the tour!) were only with MJ on tour for three months: 2 in the summer break of 1988, then 1 in December.
The kids that did spend the most time with him on tour (Brett, Cascios) defend him and say nothing happened.

Thanks respect I'll go read that thread. Unlike previous stuff i never followed this case riggt from the begining so sometimes the little details are confusing
*EDIT*
Right ive read it. It is kinda confusing. So the first case was thrown out cause mj was the owner of the companies etc which is easy to understand. Now this new law re duty of care is more open ended.duty of care can mean alot of things and to me its abit more open. So they can refile under this new law. Firstly they have to get a jury to believe the abuse actually happened. Then you are going to have to have individual people accused like ivvy etc. How many x staff are going to be subpoened to testify.because are they going to directly accuse individuals or are they just going to be ambigious and blame the company. Individuals should be sued aswell. Of course we know why they arent. To me you cant sue the company as mj was the owner so the company as such couldnt have a duty of care etc as the company was the abuser if that makes sense. To me you should be sueing individual employees who had a duty of care ie knew something but did nothing.
In one sense the duty of care makes it easier for them but in another sense the new law makes it harder cause you are having to prove a heck of alot more. Iterms of its getting complicated interms of cover ups and Then whether any intentional act by the companies was the legal cause of their alleged CSA. And whether the companies engaged in a cover up. Thats quite something to try and prove. And before you even get to that you have to get the jury to believe the abuse happened in the first place.maybe their lawyers should be careful what they wish for interms of trying to push this international abuse ring type B.S
One concern is what if pro ex employees dont want to get involved.you dont want them to be pushed into testifying. And ex staff who dont want to get involved will be used against the companies as a sign of a cover up.
Bte i still think this new law should only apply to those who havnt filed before.you have to put a limit on such laws and how far they can go back.etc
Ill be intrested to see how the estate are going to try to get this thrown out via motions before hand. Any opinions?
