Other than making HBO sorry for ever endorsing LN, I'm not sure what they're hoping to accomplish with this? It just looks like the estate are trying to catch HBO out on a technicality and it doesn't exactly make the estate look good imo.

I imagine they want to pour over the secretive, behind the scenes production and distribution of LN. It's an important case and I'm glad they brought it - the Safechuck wedding ring reshoot could just be the tip of the iceberg.

I thought the same initially, but if it plays out that HBO need to provide information that will damage the film, the accusers and the director the it will be a huge win. Transparency about what they were paid, how the Oprah shite came about, contracts would all be a good start. Also the heading is wrong here, it was HBO that appealed. Nearly every website has gotten this wrong.

Thereโs a moral question here as well and the fact that HBO backing it gave it an awful lot of weight and leverage to which it won awards and was taken seriously etc. No, the estate need to fight this tooth and nail to whatever ends are necessary. This whole charade could have potentially robbed MJ of his legacy and place in history, which apart from the agenda being about trying to obtain hundreds of millions of his hard earned dollars -from a person who isn't here to defend himself- was also part of the goal. As fans weโve been through everything but we saw a new type of evil with this whole thing and itโs got to be put right.

Dan Reed tweeted about this today. These Twitter haters replied trying to make out as if it's MJs estate trying to shield behind private arbitration? I think shit-for-brains Dan actually believes it is the estate who are trying to cover things up: I can't work out whether he is actually this thick, or if he is deliberately trying to mislead his followers.

Estates only way to fight back. They couldnt sue for slander etc. So found this in the old contract. Make the feckers pay and as others say get loads of info about all the ppl behind it
Probably both re daniel! He will lie and say anything to spin something to supoort his agenda. Just like the estate said in the court filings all that time ago. They knew how hbo etc would spin it so they asked for it to be held publically. Even after the estate asked for public arbitration as its there in court docs the haters blatantly lie. Hope ppl have posted the court docs for dan on his twitter ๐

Apparently haters and Dan Reed don't understand legal documents. I don't think Reed even reads them, to be honest.
The Estate called it months ago that the "HBO spin machine" will try to claim that they asked for private arbitration, and lo and behold that's exactly what their media cronies (incl. Reed) are doing. When it is stated very clearly in court documents that the Estate wants PUBLIC arbitration as seen above.

The estate have fought tooth and nail for public arbitration because they want the public to know all about the most sophisticated child sex ring ever masterminded. But the victims of this terrible ordeal - despite starring in a four hour documentary and an international media campaign complete with a red carpet premiere, publicity shots, Oprah interviews and photoshoots - have all of a sudden become very shy. How strange.

Dan Reedโs obsession with Michael will be his undoing. Heโs Tom Sneddon in 2.0.
