Have you heard this? My favourite Madonna B side (from Secret). Really good enough to have made the album. Always loved this ever ever since I got the single in 94. First time I'm hearing this. It really could have been on the album <3 it's got such a cool vibe

The best Madonna album of the 00s was Confessions by a landslide. I had lost interest in the early 00's when she seemed to be more interested in being taken seriously as an artist than in making good music. Albums like "Music" and the awful "American Life" was the trigger point of this loss of interest. I'm not a massive fan of Dance music but I think "Hung Up" is a great record and listening to the samples this album sounded like one to get to catch-up a little bit with Madonna. Madonna's brand on dance music on this album is probably as much dance music as I am going to like. No other track matches "Hung Up", but I do also enjoy "How High", "Push", "Sorry" and "Forbidden Love". I haven't listened to the album in a while, but I added "Hung Up" to my best of Madonna playlist, which is mainly made up of the 1980's era classics. I would take American Life and Rebel Heart over Confession in a heartbeat. Probably MDNA as well. Confessions was fun, but was a bit samey for my tastes and didn’t have the versatility of her other 00s albums.

BS is great though for Secret and Take A Bow Alone. Two of her best.

I mean I’m glad it gave her some big hits again (2 Uk Number Ones), but Hung Up aside, there’s nothing great on there. Jump is probably the next most enjoyable.

It's basically Frozen on steroids with the hummed chorus

If a song hasn't bitten me on third or fourth listen I'll rarely give it another chance. On Confessions though I recently got back into Like It Or Not after she performed it on that Tears Of a Crown show. Which I really must watch again. What a fan setlist. American Life, Easy Ride and that version of Toxic. Brilliant.

But if I had to rank her tours, I think it would be last. Soz and all that.

30 years since one of the best albums of all time and possibly the best song of all time. Did you know Prince plays guitar on LAP? Also, it's him of Act of Contrition, which is quite possibly the creepiest album closer of all time.

As I heard an interview with another guy who had some anecdotes about it. But yeah Act Of Contrition, wow. The leap between the Madonna of early 80's to this is massive.

I still feel angry that Madonna hasn't come out to defend MJ. I know some of you might say that it has nothing to do with her, but she has spent the last decade singing his praises and now, when it'd really count, she has nothing to say at all
The Madonna of the 80s/early 90s had guts, gumption and wasn't afraid of pissing people off. Where did she go?

Where did she go? Contrary to your opinion, the world doesn't revolve around Michael Jackson. Did MJ leap to Madonna's defense when she was getting shit in the media? No, and nor did anyone expect him to. It strikes me that you will search for any reason to criticize Madonna, and often times the problem exists only in your own head.
