^ I find it ridiculous when the media acts like he doesn't exist. It's even more pathetic from MTV (and VH1) who have so much to thank to MJ. But I read that ever since LN MJ wasn't on any of their "greatest videos of all time" lists. Are they going to act like THE greatest music video artist ever just doesn't exist? Pathetic. But thankfully you don't have to watch MTV or VH1 to see music videos any more. Not only there's YouTube, but there are other music channels, who do play him - this virtue signalling BS is rather the exception than the norm, so I am watching them and MTV/VH1 can go to hell.

Yes, exactly. A silver lining in all this is that we’ve seen more and more media go back to playing him over the past year or so, and his streaming numbers are only increasing so I’m hoping that it also means we’re slowly over time going back to the old normal. The old normal where people weren’t afraid to recognise his achievements or impact.

Something that really pisses me off is when I see the media refer to MJ as "disgraced." They'll say something like "the disgraced pop legend".... It's such an annoying term and loaded with judgement. Disgraced by who? Not by the courts in 2005. Not by the millions of fans who love and support him and believe in his innocence.
Disgraced by a one sided documentary about two men suing his estate for hundreds of millions of dollars?

I hope that someday Michael’s name can finally be cleared. However, I don’t see it happening anytime soon.

I hope that someday Michael’s name can finally be cleared. However, I don’t see it happening anytime soon. I think about that a lot actually. Thanks to Evan, there's always going to be some people who say "but what if"? I'll say this though; I think the fans let the whole thing live in their head rent free. It's something I'm completely guilty of that I'm trying to change. I wore my Michael Jackson Live 1988 shirt yesterday and I prepped myself for battle before I left the house. I'm always preparing myself for if someone has a bad reaction to the shirt. No one ever does though. Between two stops at the store, a gas station and stopping by a friend's house, no one batted an eye at the shirt. So I psyched myself up for no reason. I find myself doing that less and less, but it's always in the back of my mind. I need to keep working on changing that, but it's definitely hard.

Hey, distract yourself with this amazing poster. Holy crap, that's amazing. I've never seen that before. I may have to have that printed for my music area! Isn't it just incredible? Motown 25 is up there with Live Aid and The Last Waltz for me. I just stared at this poster for ages last night!

I adore those posters from yesteryear. There's a thread somewhere with loads about album releases and Thriller film. Its exciting when you know what happened next week for example that was just a poster for a TV event but ended up changing the world.

Saw this today - "100 Best Singers" featured on Consequence of Sound. I think it's an older feature as it mentions having been previously published before, so it's not new, but it still annoyed me. They list MJ as number 1 best singer (fabulous) but then go on to add a disclaimer about his abuse allegations. It pissed me off. MJ has NEVER been found guilty of a single crime, yet we can't give MJ credit without a bloody disclaimer for the #MeToo Snowflake brigade?? Ugh.

That's a stupid disclaimer. If they had known about the allegations in 2016 would that have changed MJ's singing talent? LOL.
