Not necessarily, Disney wanted a larger share, which I appreciate, but also appreciate Sony's standpoint. My major issue is how ridiculously sub par and forgettable Venom was and that I have no faith in Sony being able to deliver the high standard of the MCU films. Amazing Spider-Man 2 is still fresh in my memory. $ONY $UCKS

Sony don't make money off of him in any other way so why would they let Disney ask for more when they make tonnes from merchandising? Yeah I get that but I'm personally more concerned about a corporation who owns almost everything trying to bully another company into accepting what is quite frankly an awful deal. Anyway this is the star wars thread 😂

Apparently Leia is a big part of the story of TROS. Im finding it very hard to get excited for it after how much Episode 8 derailed things. And how awful it is. Is there a new trailer yet? I've seen some clips of Rey and Shitman fighting by the sea?

Fuck, what a great trailer. Reminds you how much we love the series as a whole, the incredible generation spanning journey we have been on with these iconic characters and their timeless stories and I cannot WAIT to see the final thing!!
My main man Kylo is looking dashing as hell, as always, and I’ve read some great theories about the film too - I’m betting that final shot is a vision brought on by Palps 😯

LOL hell yeah. I really love his outfit from The Last Jedi, it’s fricken immaculate, super badass and I’m glad to see he’s kept it for this one. Admittedly I quite like him without the helmet now so I’m not overly keen on the fact they have brought it back, but if they can make it work then hey I’m open to the idea.

Yeah, kinda ruins whole point of him destroying it in TLJ.

They are not fans of the sequels.
To be honest, now removed from the hype of when they came out I share their views. I actually forgot what was in them. I had to rewatch Force Awakens the other day not because I am so much of a fan, but because now with the new SW movie coming out in December, I wanted to refresh my memory about the first two parts of the sequel. I seriously forgot a lot of it! And that just shows I guess how underwhelming it really was. With the OT I was watching it over and over again, and even the PT is a lot more memorable and likable.

I feel like there's a lot of revisionist stuff going on with the prequels now. They aren't good movies on a fundamental level, writing, acting, apart from 3 the CG looks awful. If you don't like the sequels that's fine but I really think trying to present the prequels as good is going a bit far. I've enjoyed the sequels for what they have been. I agree they could have been much more memorable in general but I don't think they're bad, I actually really enjoyed TLJ, TFA was very forgettable but still solid movie.
