I admit I've felt glad when prominent or famous people try to cancel others over falsehoods but failed miserably as it happened with Michael but the lynch mobbers get canceled at end. Overall though, cancel culture is rooted in utter zealotry and idiocy. Reason and common sense are a rare trait nowadays in this mad world.

Americans need to wake the fuck up on what they are doing to their young people's minds in the media and leftist universities. What's going on with identity politics, cancel culture etc. isn't that surprising any more when you realize where the seeds of it are planted. Of course, every country can choose a political system what they want,but communism and socialism never ends well. So now Teen Vouge tells young people that they don't just need to abolish the police, but also abolish property. And how do they plan to achieve that? Taking away from those who have property? Where did I see that before? Maybe it's the USA's turn for a flirt with communism with this new, indoctrinated generation growing up before they finally will be able to see communism looks better on paper than in reality? When the Soviet Union collapsed in the early 90s,who knew that communism will eventually sill win over the USA? Thanks to those leftist ideologues in US academia who still can't let go of this failed ideology and indoctrinated a new generation into thinking it's a good idea. SMH. |

I get it. Sometimes history "changes" ie. what official history is and what and how we teach it to our children. For example here when the socialist system fell down, what kids were taught about history in school also changed. Before 1990 the 1956 revolution was taught as anti-revolution and a bad thing. The Soviets were taught to be friends etc. That changed after 1990. But none of this paradigm shift meant that the teaching of history ever ceased. I don't know what's in those Illinois history books that needs to be taught differently now. I would think that none of the history books today claim that slavery was a good thing, but if someone is familiar with Illinois history books, maybe can tell what makes this all of a sudden necessary.

WTF, whatever happened to multiculturalism and globalization? Those things have allowed humanity to access to pieces of culture around the world through food in this case that otherwise 3, 4 decades ago the only way possible was traveling to the countries.

What they call "anti-racist" these days is utterly racist at its core. It is a preoccupation with race on every level. That's what they mean by "anti-racism". They actually make a distinction between non-racist and "anti-racist" and they say "it is not enough to not be racist, you have to be actively anti-racist" and what they mean by "anti-racism" is this nonsense above. Where you see racism in everything and everywhere. Where the first thing you see in another person is their race and where that's their most important characteristic. They also say if you say you are colorblind then you are a racist. Not seeing race is racist, according to them. That's how effed up this new ideology is. And there's definitely a double-speak element to it just like what Orwell talked about in 1984 where the "Ministry of Love" was where they tortured people. That's exactly how these terms like "anti-racist" or "anti-fascist" (as in Antifa) are. They are double-speak terms and in reality what's behind them is the opposite of what you would think.

One would logically think it's satire, that there's no way people would waste these kinds of platforms and resources in such ridiculous idiocies. But sadly you realize the "priorities" and "preoccupations" some people make up in first world countries are fucked up.
