Estate letter to Radar Online: gallery.mailchimp.com/b10cd0eb926d3e80232b5aeef/files/c8ec55e3-3580-421e-a850-2cc525da3438/attachment_1.pdf'In the very unlikely event that this article was indeed a genuine article by “Radar Online,” could you please ask your “source” when Mr. Jackson’s body will be exhumed? As the successors to Mr. Jackson’s legal interests, the Estate’s representatives were surprised no one told them about this unusual development. We see that the source is identified as “an insider”—can you let us know what asylum he is inside?'

HBO boss: You've set a premiere date for Leaving Neverland. Given the Jackson estate's comments that it's "a tabloid character assassination," do you have any trepidation about airing it?
Not at all. All I would ask is that anybody writing or thinking about it would watch it and reserve judgment until they see it. It's a very powerful documentary. Are you prepared for potential backlash — or legal action — from the estate?
Yep. [We have] no plans to not air it. After the Sundance screening and the estate's comments, was there a conversation with HBO CEO Richard Plepler or AT&T CEO John Stankey about sticking with the controversial doc?
No. Let's be clear: What controversy? There were two protesters at Sundance. Reserve judgment and watch it and decide for yourself. And if the protests grow louder?
We're standing by it. It's very, very powerful. Will you meet with the Jackson Estate given their newly released 10-page letter and claims that it ignores journalistic ethics?
No. The letter doesn't change anything. The show is airing. It's not changing because of the letter and I ask that everybody watch it and decide for themselves. It's a very, very powerful documentary and I think once they see it, they'll understand. So, you have no interest in taking a meeting with the Jackson Estate?
No. There are no plans to take a meeting. We are airing the documentary and the letter is not going to change that. --- They have a lot riding on this. They clearly don't care for the other side. I think they probably know there are major issues here, but simply care more for the publicity this will bring. Which of course is unsurprising. Disappointing obviously but that interview was with their head of programming, not the CEO who the letter was addressed to.

Brilliant letter. Exposes so many of the lies spouted by these two disgraceful human beings. They must now send a similar copy to Channel 4. If HBO and/or Channel 4 don’t take action, then the Estate need to start a media blitz to get this info out there. It’s time to fight fire with fire. We had an exceptional lawyer defending Michael in 2005 - Tom Mesereau - and he did a stellar job and got MJ acquitted. Today, Mike is dead and can’t defend himself. The Estate MUST go for a full on offensive. As Weitzman states in his letter, they have litigated against these two perjurer for several years. They are armed with the facts and the evidence of their lies. Slightly ridiculous thing for me to say, but the letter is a masterpiece! It's so concise and focussed and cuts right to the core. It backs every sentence up with FACTS and shows ROBson & Chucky for the scumbags they really are!! For HBO to STILL go ahead after receiving THAT letter shows them for the scumbags THEY ARE.

US press are getting access to this today. This is incredibly early. They want MJ's name smeared before the documentary even airs.

Are people in general even buying it overall? I saw people (not just fans) condemning the Daily Fail for the 1996 deposition and and the Neverland 5 rehashing crap.
As for the estate, GOOD! Kill HBO with facts! I hope they are able to take legal action against HBO and the people involved in this crap for using Michael's music, short films and concert footage without the estate's permition.

I think the only time I've seen a good portion of a comment section fall for it is on a Daily Mail article. But it IS the Daily Mail sooooo....

Drinking game idea: Take a shot every time Robson or Safechuck contradicts a previous testimony/claim of theirs. You’ll probably be dead by the intermission, certainly so by the very end.

Trouble is, the folks at HBO have probably already seen the documentary and been brainwashed. A pesky letter from MJs estate detailing something as dry as court facts is not nearly as effective as four hours of emotional manipulation from Robson/Safechuck. If someone knew the facts of these cases BEFORE they watched the documentary then they would watch it very differently to someone who only found out about these things afterwards. These people have already made their minds up after four hours of brainwashing and carefully rehearsed sob stories.

With HBO having been presented with thorough facts and still wanting to show the doc, one can only assume that truth doesn't matter anymore in 2019.

Emotional manipulation is a very difficult beast to counter and straight up facts simply aren't very effective against them. That's called direct refutation. It must be used with indirect refutation. They've gone for hearts and minds. Therefore, we should too. Fans should be using Counter-Propaganda Techniques aka Counter-Insurgency Techniques.

Everything is either black or white now. Empathy is pretty much gone. Its all about how you are told to feel, and if you disagree, you're wrong. "Only a Sith deals in absolutes" Obi Wan Kenobi.

After that letter, my faith is even stronger. Not in the public, but the Estate have put up a very strong (and well reported) letter highlighting how these dicks are liars. If this was a trial, they'd be obliterated immediately. A lot of the public might believe the bullshit, but it's good to know that the Estate have put this out IN ADVANCE with ammunition to spare.
The interview with the HBO guy seems that they're more standing their ground, rather than standing by the integrity of the documentary. He doesn't seem that convinced himself. He says its "powerful". ET was a "powerful" film if you ask me.
I think Ive read the media are getting to see it today. Do NOT ger bogged down if their reviews are like those moronic blue tick guys on Twitter at Sundance. Controversy creates cash.
