The whole "fair use" thing is such a pain. For example, our show should absolutely fall under Fair Use because we're critiquing and (in so many ways) educating, while discussing the music. However, the system is setup to where you have to continually fight every single little battle in order to get your content out there. In the meantime, your content gets pulled and no one hears it because you're fighting these battles behind the scenes. It's ridiculous and just not worth it, which is what they want. In any case, the next bonus tournament episode is out now. This time it's The Weeknd - Trilogy vs Pearl Jam - Ten Another one that was a lot of fun to record

So was I, haha. I won't spoil it, but it has a different ending then people will expect. Also, I gave Michelle plenty of crap for her comments in recent weeks haha

Just a heads up; we had a great episode ready to go for tomorrow morning but we have decided to join the #PodcastBlackout movement this week instead. We are releasing a non sponsored, 2 minute message tomorrow morning instead. I made sure to include some of Michael's words of hope and love in with our message. Please listen if you can spare 2 minutes. The regular episode we planned to share tomorrow will be released next Monday instead. Thanks for understanding

Dont see much being written about Detroit (thankfully?)

So surprised with the reaction to Songbird on the episode too! Thats a top 3 Rumours tune for me! Im still bitter that Christine rejoined AFTER I saw them, meaning we got no Christine songs.
Songbird is just... its gorgeous because its so sad knowing what its about, but for those that dont know the story, its a love song. My mate said his wife sang it at their wedding, so years later I tell him when he meets me "oh that was written about their breakup/divorce" and he was like wow! Didnt matter to him, obviously. Very surprised.
Also at Computer Blue... I must share the link of the Hallway Version for Michelle to listen to.
Is Purple Rain a different experience seeing the film first? I remember seeing Computer Blue/Darling Nikki before I owned the album When I was a kid and i was like "WOAH". Those 2 tunes stole the movie for me.
"The kid is in RARE form tonight".

I hear ya on Songbird. It's just never been enduring to me, but I get why others love it. Personally, I heard the Purple Rain album years before I saw the movie so it had no effect on me. I truly don't get her being turned off by Computer Blue. It might be my favorite song on the album.

If I'm running, Blue, Crazy and Star are my standards- which are 3 songs you actually singled out on the show now that I think of it.

The latest bonus tournament episode features Thriller... So it's obvious which albums wins, but it's still a fun listen
