Yeah, well I'm glad I hadn't listened to Paris' new music, now I never will. The only reason I would've given it my time of day is because she's MJ's daughter. I just unfollowed her on Twitter too. I'm done with her. Sorry, if this offends anyone here, but we have to put up with enough already from haters alone without having to deal with Michael's family gushing over the haters. it's actually quite nice, to be honest. It's by no means bad. But it's safe to say it's vastly different to Janet, La Toya and Rebbie's debuts. I like my Jackson women with a bit o' SASS. It'll come in time, I'm sure. For now, I don't know myself. Paris seems quite grounded in many ways, and then in others she'd be a bit left field of what I think. I dunno.

It seems that Paris' way of handling these things is to extend the olive branch instead of the sword. Catch more bee's with honey than vinegar... that sort of thing. I certainly would not have the zen calmness to handle it that way, but I can't hate on her for her approach.

Sia wished Paris well on Twitter and it's become a whole weird thing now.Β What's weirder is Paris being dumb enough to acknowledge and praise Sia back. Thank God for Prince. I cannot with Paris sucking up to the very people who call her father a pedo, the allegations that changed his life trajectory, broke his spirot and ultimately sent him to an early grave. Nope, not buying that, not even if it's his daughter. Did Sia bad mouth MJ then?

I remember seeing it going "oh christ, here we go" but she literally only got like John legend and other people I don't know to join that online "look at me I love victims" parade

Maybe Paris is unaware of what Sia said? I didn't know about it. Not everyone follows Twitter dramas. Here's hoping, otherwise it does look a bit odd/naive on Paris's part.

She found out after praising her back this morning, which is when it became the weird thing. I haven't checked back on what's been said since, because life is too short, but it turne dinto a "I appreciate other artists with different opinions etc," and Sia was all "thank you for being mature, we can all have different opinions" blah blah. The Twitter went Twitter at both so I started looking up Shalamar videos.

On whether your dad was a pedo? Nah, fuck that...

Whatever I think of her, the public lashings and ridiculous tweets to her by MJ fans are way too much.

Wow. I mean... I've questioned some of Paris' choices before (yes, I know it's not my "right" to) but this is on a whole new level. This has been explicitly pointed out to her and yet....nothing from her. If it was my father, I'd be burning with anger and always ready to defend. Her behaviour is weird for someone who is supposed to love her dad & family. I'm starting to think she has some kind of unconscious resentment toward him.

I ain't one for abusing people I don't agree with on social media, but she seems very naive and too eager to please/pander to anyone with a modicum of influence in the industry. It's kind of a sad state of affairs that yet again it's the fans who seem more invested and passionate about MJ's innocence than members of MJ's own family, but whatever....

I think it's possibly more a very conscious resentment towards toxic Twitter fans tbh. She's had very serious mental issues in the past, so I don't think everything is black and white with this. It's odd, sure. But I definitely can't begin to imagine A. being in her boots, being who she is and B. having to put up with people day in day out tell you how to think, feel etc. Just because people like her father's music doesn't give them the right to talk at her the way they do. She's still the one grieving her father. I find it very hard to judge her either way, but I do find it all weird. I think one thing one minute and another the next.

Prince seems to be the same sort of easy going and forgiving type. You have to think that it probably has to have something to do with the way MJ raised them. It's tough for MJ's kids because I know they don't follow what everybody says about their dad like we do. MJ fans can alert Paris to things that people have said but when it comes to attacking her that is just not on in my opinion. She is her own person, she doesn't have to be the way you want her to be because you're a fan of her father.

It's starting to become increasingly obvious that Paris has doubts over her fathers innocence. Of course she hasn't said as much, but her apparent indifference to any public figure who thinks her father was guilty speaks volumes.
Either than, or she's more concerned with industry cred than being loyal to her father.

I genuinely believe she's trying to take the higher road.
