Still waiting for it. I declined Sputnik V because it's not recommended for people with autoimmune condition and I have one. Waiting for Pfeizer.

It's the Russian vaccine but I don't know if the V in its name stands for 5.
I will likely get it next year, the vaccination has been slow here. Old people are still getting their vaccines, my father just got his second Pfizer dose this week. He had dizziness, pain in his arm and discomfort when he got the shots but he looked better the next days.

What the government here is doing with the vaccination is absurd. Like said above, here in Hungary we have several vaccines one can choose from (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V and Sinopharm). At least on paper. In practice the government is trying to push the Eastern vaccines on people (Russian Sputnik V and Chinese Sinopharm) because that's what they can use to steal with corrupt deals. The Chinese vaccine, for example, costs the tax payers $62/dose which is ridiculous considering that it is the least modern vaccine, with the traditional inactivated virus intake method. There is no reason for it to cost this much. (To compare: Pfizer costs $14, AstraZeneca $5, Sputnik $6. The second most expensive, Moderna ($31) still costs only half of the Chinese one.) This is because of the corrupt deals they make with the Chinese to be able to steal money from the deal through all kind of off shore companies. So they are trying to force the Chinese mainly in Hungary. But people don't trust it, rightfully so, because its documentation has been kept in the dark for the longest and it's not yet approved by the European Medicines Agency. Also there are disturbing news about its lack of efficiency. Another aspect is that people want to make sure the vaccine they take will allow them to travel abroad if a vaccination pass will be required by any country. And the Chinese is not approved in the EU and it is not certain it will be. So because of this reason most people in Hungary want Pfizer or Moderna. But they are hardly made available. Hungary hardly bought any Moderna, but Pfizer we should have a lot, on paper at least. But somehow it is hardly available when people want it. Because the government is trying to make people give in and take the Chinese or Russian vaccine. Actually the Russian Sputnik V is not a bad vaccine (same technology as AstraZeneca, only without the blood clot issues) and I would have taken it, but then I read its documentation and it is not recommended for people with certain conditions that I have (autoimmune conditions), so because of that at the end I opted for Pfizer too. And a lot of people here would like Pfizer for either similar health issues or making sure to be able to travel etc (although I think Sputnik V will eventually be approved by the EMA).
Anyway, so what I want to show is, that yesterday the government suddenly made 100,000 doses of Pfizer available because they wanted to boost the number of vaccinated people, as they had this goal to reach 4 million vaccinated people until by Friday but on Thursday they only had 3.9 million and people weren't really hyped on taking the Chinese vaccine which was available. So on Friday morning they suddenly made 100,000 Pfizer available. As they do with everything, they did it like idiots. First of all, the website that we use to register for vaccination crashed when people learnt in the early morning that Pfizer will be available on Friday. I was lucky that I managed to register before 7am and got an appointment for 8.44am which went well. But after 7am the website totally crashed and people couldn't register after that. So then a LOT of people decided to storm the vaccination points without registration because the news went around you can get Pfizer if you just go there even if you haven't booked an appointment. Which proved to be true. But this resulted in such scenes. These is a queue of people waiting to get vaccinated with Pfizer in the city of Szeged. This is crazy (and what a great opportunity for the virus to spread):
This was the case in every other vaccination point in the country where Pfizer was made available. It's simply crazy how they are playing with people. Why do they have to force the Chinese, why can't Pfizer be normally available. SMH.

So my left arm where, I got the vaccine, was sore for a day, like a muscle fever, but now it's OK. I don't have any other symptoms.

Got both Pfizer shots last month, each one being three weeks apart. Only real side effect was my arm felt weird for a few hours afterward, and the spot where they injected it was sore for a day or two. The second dose made me a bit more drowsy, but nothing too debilitating.
