The allegation foreshadowing makes me side-eye it a bit though. >.> But I guess that's better than what they could have done. i think he meant the family. the jacksons. i think??? from many i heard there's nothing about the allegations in the show just people who thinks he guilty doing the show. No, its a reference to the Chandlers

I've been reading this thread and your comments and felt the need to say something in response. As someone who actually saw the show AND honestly expected it to be trash and was ready to critique it to high heaven, I will flat out say it: THE SHOW IS NOT BAD AND NOTHING MUCH TO WORRY ABOUT OVERALL lol also, you saying there's no Bad era in the show is wrong. While they don't have any flashback parts for 1986-1990, the album in terms of the songs performed IS featured, from small segments to full songs. An segment of Another Part of Me IS in the show along with: Bad The Way You Make Me Feel (the slow version's instrumental was played during one of the segments) Man In The Mirror Smooth Criminal (a crowd favorite and the opening to the second act) How do i know that? i haven't seen the show. your opinion and review would probably be different from mines. in my opinion theses not parts their just clips. i want full. πππ it's feels like Bad era is always overlooked. like i'm waiting for a show or movie to portray Michael in the Bad era. the other songs: 2Bad ABC Beat It Billie Jean (the crowd went ballistic) Black or White (the encore) Blame It On the Boogie Can You Feel It Dancing Machine Don't Stop Til You Get Enough Earth Song Ease on Down The Road Human Nature I Can't Help It I'll Be There I Want You Back Jam Keep The Faith The Love You Save Money Price of Fame (played throughout the show) Rock With You She's Out of My Life Stranger In Moscow Tabloid Junkie They Don't Care About Us Thriller Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' You Can't Win when it comes to critics and writers faking outrage after the official opening, it's not going to be because the show is horrible, it's going to be because it doesn't align with the perception of Michael THEY have wanted to be the prevailing view for the last 3 decades and have pushed for i agree somewhat with your view of course. but i think the problem is we need to look that people who are very serious about opinions and reviews of the show. i know that's hard but we just can't leave out the disagree reviews. you get what i'm saying? i feel everyone should have a voice. yes the media gonna say some stuff as usually. be prepared. but i'm talking about people who are serious. like really serious. whatever they fans or not and just want to see the show. i been seeing positive reviews and negative reviews mostly positive but you can't leave out the negative either. The show has moments of corniness and a few parts that can be easily fixed, it was good. The family isn't going to be happy with the portrayal of Joe, who is portrayed as strict, harsh, and emotionally distant. A scene of "Joe" slapping little "Michael" and "Katherine" consoling him to remind him that he was loved. That's one of the prevailing points of the show: Michael wanted to be loved and worked hard his entire life for the world to love and embrace him only for many to betray, mock, and try to control him. oh boy i already know how this is going. πππ They're not going to be happy with how the brothers and Jermaine in particular was portrayed in one part. (He's portrayed as somewhat jealous and judgmental during the Victory era) πππ It portrays MJ as an eccentric but kind, funny, and loving human being who paid the "price of fame" by giving up his childhood and any sense of normalcy for his career. It really puts forth that Michael was a musical genius who had creativity flowing through him constantly, whether it's song ideas, film ideas, and regularly adding effects and elements to the show, much to the chagrin of the tour manager and the financial advisor. i think they kind of got his personality right. although Michael in my opinion Michael wasn't strange. maybe to some people but to me he was a normal human being. i remember him saying the media gave him a image which he wasn't. yes he kind, loving, etc. but he was also stubborn and didn't like people telling him what to do.... for example, there was a story about him saving a cat from a tree. yes michael would probably do that but in this fake story he didn't. i know it's crazy but there was stories like that that was even positive. The then coming allegations was foreshadowed with the tour manager being concerned about "this family he's bringing with him on the road" and how some of MJ's personal decisions were regularly talked about in the press. MJ's dependence on painkillers is touched on and seen as the result of the 1984 accident and constant stress in his life. The family's relying on him and guilt tripping him is discussed and implies the decision to do the Victory Tour was pushed onto Michael to make sure the brothers and Joe were financially secure after the success of Thriller okay that did happen so i give them props for that. as long it's not being harsh etc then okay. although some fans feels he needed to help his family. while i agree i feel it wasn't Michael place to help them by the time victory happen, they were adults. it was up to them to do it not Michael. Another ongoing point is MJ's father figures (Joe, Berry Gordy, and Quincy Jones) guiding him through various points then reacting with some hostility when Michael decides to change and go on his own. that did happen but i don't think berry was mad was he? everybody saying he wasn't so maybe i'm missing something. as long the hostility isn't harsh or anything. then okay with it. Another thing: I'm glad Rich and Tone are involved because the dancers and Frost actually capture Michael's dance movements correctly lol I saw some french fans on Twitter making fun of the show when someone posted ending of the show, saying impersonators could do MJ better than Myles Frost. I've seen several videos of various impersonators and I have to call BS on that. Frost was incredible i been hearing alot good reviews on Myles. if anything whatever i like show or not i give a applause to him because the fact he so young and talent. so good job Myles keep it up. dancing like michael isn't easy. πππ I'm going back to New York this summer and planning on seeing the show again. I'm also going to Vegas to also see MJ One because I feel I need to see it now once and for all lol i been hearing LOTS of good reviews of MJONE. although some fans don't like shows in general have to do with MJ i would rather see that one then the musical. Which i probably won't because i live too far away and my family want real michael. πππ TBH, you can't give a review or a rating on it yet as you haven't seen it yet. The best way to really get the full picture is to see it. I went in expecting crap and came away very impressed. The best option is to simply wait and see for ourselves

Which i probably won't because i live too far away and my family want real michael. πππ I think you've missed my point about the reviews from critics and writers. Them feigning outrage about the show isn't going to be about the quality. It'll be because they want it to touch on THAT topic and for the most part, it doesn't. They want the narrative to be "Michael Jackson groomed the world into thinking he's great when he was a monster." That's the narrative we've seen the press try to run with since the mid 90s. Of course there are going to be reviewers who aren't going to be giving glowing reviews, but I wasn't talking about them. I'm talking about the writers who are going to see it hoping for the allegations to be talked about and some sort of implying MJ is guilty. As we've seen from a few already, they're upset because it's not really broached aside from two comments and honestly, are treated in the same vein as the stories of him buying the elephant man's bones or the oxygen chamber. The fake progressive writers are the people who are going to be the main ones complaining about it.

I'm sorry but this made me cringe it's so cheesy and in my opinion they're not good singers. i couldn't watch the whole video. Myles moonwalk at the end was great though.
they couldn't find someone to do Michael Dangerous era? i don't like the fact Myles playing him that way. it's kind of lose the fact that Michael had vitiligo and may offend people. that's another thing i'm not fond of and need to be fix.
this kind of reminds me of Thiller Live from years ago but they ended the show because of Covid. i'm from the US and from looking at clips of that show it kind of like the samething.
maybe people will show more stuff soon but Yeah.... it isn't for me i rather go to MJONE.

This is the curtain call, of course it would look like Thriller Live! I think you should make a thread called "I hate the MJ Musical" π

Ok, it's just the curtain call, but that does look pretty bad. Reminds me of old fan parties with impersonators.

Why are you so worried about skin color and vitiligo? Are you really hankering for grotesque Flex Alexander-esque paleface? I don't think anyone is going to be offended by him being portrayed as the Black man he always was, which seems to be what you're suggesting here. they couldn't find someone to do Michael Dangerous era? i don't like the fact Myles playing him that way. it's kind of lose the fact that Michael had vitiligo and may offend people. that's another thing i'm not fond of and need to be fix. i'm sorry about Myles if that's true. do the other actor have vitiligo? if so which apart does he plays? there's 3 people playing michael. myles is playing michael when he's 20-something. i think the guy playing dangerous michael is alittle lighter. you can't really tell. let's be real michael skin was "white" during this time. now if the guy is fully black. eh..... i have some questions. yes he was a black man but he had an disease. it's proof. so, i'm not sure why. but yeah michael had vitiligo. while the disease is rare they probably couldn't find anyone just like michael to be in the show. i do hope in the future that will happen. we need more mental health, disorders, diseases, and disabilities awareness.

Myles looks awkward here and lacking snapiness in his movements, but I'll leave that there. Hopefully, the rest of the musical looks better than the curtain call. Best thing about the clip though was the toaster jump. Very nice! Michael really perfected his and no-one will come close. I still think to myself how ridiculous it is that Michael Jackson is gone.....mad.
